Alone

Tina was finding this extremely hard, Glenn and Maggie could kiss and touch eachother whenever they wanted, spend an afternoon talking about rubbish if they wanted to and no one would bat an eyelid, all Tina wanted to do was cuddle up to Daryl at night and not have to hide it, instead of stolen moments in secluded hallways, or making out in the woods or holding hands discreetly under the table, she couldnt deny the rush wasnt exhilarating but she wanted to be known as Daryl's.

It had been a week since they shared that night in the watch tower. Hershel woke up and started making a few steps which was brilliant progress.

Tina was washing herself in the bathroom, there wasnt much water but she was dying to feel fresh again. Running soap through her long hair, deafening alarms made her jump out of her skin, shaking excess water from her hair she threw her hair in a bun and ran out to the corridor, walkers were charging towards her causing her to double back and head through the other doors from the bathroom, another corridor with no light, trying to focus her eyes and hold onto the wall as she felt her way around. More walkers came but this time from both ways, Tina had no choice but to barricade herself unarmed in a cupboard, holding the door closed as walkers banged at it all itching to taste her flesh.

Tired, hungry and scared Tina sat huddled up with her back against the door, she was unsure how long she had been in there at this point, she was convinced at least a day, everytime she tried to leave the remaining walkers would flock at the door and bang at it until they heard another noise somewhere else. She must be deep in the prison, a place the others hadnt cleared out yet. Tina decided to accept her fate. She was too weak and outnumbered to do anything.

The light burned her eyes as the door swung open, slowly turning her head to see the walker that was about to eat her she felt her body being scooped up, it was Daryl. Not saying a word he carried her to the others, Tina passing out through exhaustion in his arms.

"We thought we lost you there" Hershel beamed as Tina awoke, "what the hell happened?" She asked wearily as she sat up "walkers got in...we all got separated" Hershel began "we lost TDog" he sighed with sadness "he was a great person" Tina spoke wiping a tear away, "so who else? Or is everyone okay?" She asked, Hershel didnt answer her, the sweet coos of a baby made Tina jump out of bed "Lori had the baby?" She asked excited as Rick entered the cellblock hallway holding the new born. Smiling as they saw eachother Tina held her arms out to hold the baby "where is she?" She asked Rick who dropped his head, the realisation hit Tina "oh my god im sorry" she whispered as she looked at Carl who stood behind his father. "Where is Glenn and Maggie?" She asked worried, Rick placing a firm hand on her shoulder said  "they are on a run, they will be pleased to see you"

Walking outside to get some air she found Daryl standing by his motorcycle "miss me?" She teased. "Stop, you know i did" he asked looking behind her before kissing her quickly "when i thought you were dead I--" he began but Tina silenced him with her finger on his lips "im here now, thats all that matters" she finished with a smile. "Are you okay? What happened?" Tina asked with seriousness at the walkers getting in "i was with Rick and Glenn. Maggie and Carl were with Lori, she went into labour somewhere in the tombs, i tried to find you all i found was your stuff in the bathroom. I was convinced you were a walker in that cupboard" he replied handing her a cigarette "i didnt think id ever get out" she sighed, dragging from the cigarette and resting her head on his shoulders. Rick storming out and pacing to the fence made them separate "you guys not see that? " he asked making them guide their eyes to where he was walking. Putting her hand over her eyes to shield from the glare of the sun Tina nudged Daryl "is that a woman?" She asked looking at Daryl who began following Rick down to the gate. The woman was carrying a basket and was bloodied up.

Rick yanked the gate open and pulled the girl in, quite forcibly and dragged her towards the inside of the prison. Daryl following close behind him with his crossbow. Watching Rick throw the woman on the floor startled Tina, she had never seen him like this before "I said whats your name?!" Rick seethed into her face. "No answer huh?" He added shaking his head "where did you get these?" He asked frustrated waving the basket if baby milk and diapers at her. Eventually the girl answered "asian boy and the pretty girl" "Glenn and Maggie" Tina whispered to herself. "Hershel, the pretty girl's father, he will tend to that" Rick snapped poking her in her bullet wound in her leg causing her to wince. Rick motioned Daryl and Tina to follow him leaving the girl alone and locked in the small dining area. "They were taken to Woodbury!" She yelled causing the trio to turn around and Rick to pace back to her "who? Where?" Her demanded. The girl rolled her eyes "calls himself The Governor, runs a town not too far from here, real power hungry." She began "what he took them?" Daryl interjected. The girl nodded. "You have to take us there" Rick told her.

As Rick dragged the girl who revealed her name to be Michonne to Hershel to get patched up, Daryl pulled Tina aside "listen, when we go get them you aint coming" he whispered cupping her face looking intently into her eyes, she nodded at his words, melting at his touch "and you?" She asked but she already knew the answer. "I promise you i'll be back" he kissed her on the nose and left her to catch up with Rick.
