Chapter Six
The Breakfast Club
Sienna's POV -
He hadn't noticed me straight away; rather his head was turned with a crooked grin playing on his lips. There were a few people behind him who were all speaking loudly and at once, causing a commotion. I turned my head quickly, in hopes that he wouldn't see me.
This guy was a criminal and that was one type of person I would avoid for the rest of my life if I could. There was really no need to smash a windshield and then to not have one ounce of guilt after doing that. It was terrible. And it was both of them, too; although Mike seemed a little more stable than Liam. It looked like Liam depended on Mike a lot.
I turned to my family and my mum was sitting on the other end, talking and both my dad and Alex were listening to her. I tapped Alex's shoulder so I could get his attention and strike up any random conversation, just so I wouldn't look like a lonely idiot.
"Alex." I hissed after he pushed my hand away.
"Shh, I'm listening." He dismissed me.
I narrowed my eyes, even though he couldn't see anything, and pretended to be engaged in my mother's talking even though I had no idea what she was talking about. I could hear the group right beside me now and someone pulled up a stool beside me.
"Excuse me."
I ignored that.
"Excuse me."
My goodness, my heart was beating way faster than usual.
"Miss? Hello?" It was then when I realised it was the bartender talking to me.
I turned my head away from my mum and faced him.
"Sorry, what's the matter?" I apologised.
"Would you like anything to drink?"
"Coke, please."
He nodded and walked away and from my peripheral vision, I saw who had pulled up beside me.
"Soze?"
Of course.
"Soze, is that you?"
Shit.
I kept my head forward and pretended not to hear anything. I realised I must have looked like an idiot with my eyes planted straight ahead so I put my best acting skills on and pretended I was thinking about something intensely.
"Soze, you look really creepy right now."
I scowled at my lack of acting skills and turned around to face Liam.
"Hi." I muttered.
He smirked and took no shame in allowing his eyes wonder my appearance.
"You look really good." He grinned.
"Tha-"
"No, like really good. Like wow. Where's the boyfriend? He's certainly missing out." He smirked.
I rolled my eyes but made a mental note to text Jacob tonight or something. I already let him know that I was coming home but I didn't want to seem like I was distancing myself from him.
"He's on campus." I answered.
"Well I would feel terrible if I were him. He's missed out on quite a sight."
I felt my cheeks reddening and I scowled, only because I didn't know what else to do. If I smiled, then he'd probably think I was flirting, if I ignored him, he'd carry on, if I thanked him, he'd continue and if I scowled, he'd understand my disliking towards him.
"So, what are you doing here?" He asked. "I thought you were going back home?"
"I did. I'm just out at dinner with my family." I replied.
He nodded his head and stared at me weirdly. I cleared my throat to avoid any awkwardness and racked my brain for something intelligent to say.
"So why are you here?"
Yeah, very intelligent.
"To eat." He answered blatantly.
I rolled my eyes and gritted my teeth together.
"I meant-"
"I know what you meant," He chuckled. "I'm also here with my family."
He pointed to the people beside him and there were three couples sitting around on the stools.
"Where's Mike?" I blurted.
It was strange to never see Mike and Liam separated.
"He's here." He said simply, like he was keeping a secret.
I frowned and turned my body back towards my family. Liam tapped my on my shoulder and I turned my head.
"What?"
"You look really good tonight." He grinned.
"You already said that."
"Just making sure you understand." He shrugged.
It seemed Alex had heard that part because I could see him frown and he turned around, looking at Liam and I in confusion.
"Who are you?
Liam chuckled behind me and I couldn't my lips turning into a small contour at the sound of his laugh.
"So brashness runs in the family?" Liam questioned, crossing his arms over his chest.
"What are you trying to say?" Alex challenged.
I think he was just trying to play the brother role since everyone in Stanwell Vale was too nice so he never had to honour or defend me.
"That your sister, I presume, is brash."
"Don't talk about her like that."
I could hear my parent's conversation slowly dwindling as Alex raised his voice a little. Alex was overreacting and being so dramatic, it was actually quite nerve wracking.
"Like what, Alex? Truthfully?"
Alex replied but I couldn't understand what he had said because my mind was too occupied at the fact that Liam knew Alex's name. How does this keep happening?
"I'll see you later." Liam said abruptly, his eyes searching far ahead of me.
Before anyone could say anything else, he was walking towards the Exit.
Alex and I both sat down back in out stools and I wondered when we ever stood up.
"Who was that guy?" Alex asked, and I could see my parents waiting on an answer.
"That was Liam. He's in my journalism and psychology class." I answered before adding a quick 'be right back'.
I walked towards the exit that Liam had gone through. He looked pretty suspicious as his eyes seemed wary, walking into the exit. What was he going to do? I stopped in my tracks when I was standing in the doorway, my mind wondering to the many things Liam could be doing outside.
Mike told me he was a bad boy. What if he was using drugs? Or selling? Or purchasing weaponry? I definitely did not want to walk outside to see something like that.
But then... I had to find out what he was doing outside. Why? Only God knew. I knew that I wouldn't like what I saw outside but that didn't stop my legs to dwindle on their own accord and put me in the middle of the parking lot, my mouth agape once again.
It was like déjà vu, except Jacob wasn't with me this time and the damage was much, much worse. Liam and another figure, Mike, I supposed, were smashing all the windows, slitting the tires and causing dents in a very pricey car towards the end of the lot.
I couldn't believe they were actually doing this again. With their family right inside, too!
"Hey!" I yelled, trying to get their attention.
The sound of a window smashing drowned out my scream.
"Hey, stop it!" I tried again but was once again ignored.
"Liam! Stop it!"
At that, I heard everything go silent as both boys stopped what they were doing. Mike looked amused while Liam looked downright annoyed.
"Go back inside." He said bluntly.
"No."
"Go away."
"No." I frowned, crossing my arms over my chest.
"Sienna, get the f*ck out of here." He hissed through gritted teeth.
My eyes widened at his language and I took very dangerous steps towards him.
"You," I used my index finger to point because I was too scared to get any closer. "Do not tell me what to do. What the hell is wrong with you guys? Seriously? Do you have some sort of urge to constantly beat up peoples cars because you have a shit car yourself? And-"
"Hey!" Liam interrupted me. "Do not call my car shit!"
I fought the urge to roll my eyes and plucked up the courage to take a few more steps.
"Look at the damage you have done! This person could have just found out that someone is in hospital and they need to see them or that their kids need to be picked up from somewhere or something! You can't do this! It's illegal!"
Liam chuckled darkly and his eyes pierced into mine.
"And what do you care?"
"Excuse me?"
"Why would you out of all people care if what we're doing is illegal?" His tone was taunting.
"Liam." Mike was stern with his tone and expression towards his brother.
"Mike-"
"Liam." Mike said again, a little more forcefully.
I hated this. These silent conversations between the two, the way they played with my mind and how Liam always made reference to me in a suspicious way.
"What are you trying to say?" I frowned.
"Nothing." Mike spoke when Liam looked like he was going to answer.
I glared at the two and didn't press for answers since I knew they wouldn't give any.
"How did you know my brother's name?" I asked once my glare was on Liam.
His scowl appeared into a smug smirk and he shrugged his shoulder tauntingly.
"I don't know, it was a lucky guess."
"Liam! Oh God, you're so infuriating! How do you know so much about me when I've never even freaking met you before a couple of weeks ago?" I yelled.
I couldn't care who heard me, the smug expression on Liam's face was enough for me to go on a killing spree. Of Liam's organs.
"I don't know what you're talking about." His smirk grew into a wide grin.
I glared at him but dropped the issue, accepting the fact that tonight I wouldn't be getting any answers.
"Put money into the car, leave your bats and come inside." I demanded.
Both boys began chuckling, Mike rolling his eyes.
"What made you our boss?" Liam smirked.
"This is illegal! You cannot just do this! If you don't, I will report you to the police." I threatened.
Play cool! Play cool!
I really hoped my expression was fierce rather than frightened.
"Go ahead," Liam shrugged. "It wouldn't be the worst they've heard."
"We'll be locked up, Liam." Mike glared at his brother.
It looked like Mike believed my lie.
"We should have done what I said before." Mike said quietly.
Liam barked a laugh and rolled his eyes.
"What? Blackmail her?"
I could feel my heart rate increase and my palms grew sweaty. They were going to blackmail me? Me? I could feel the beating of my heart in my ears and the pumping of my blood. I tried to stop the shaking in my legs and I pierced my skin with my nails from the nervousness. I felt like I could vomit at any moment, the nerves of the idea that they would blackmail me sucking the breath out of me.
Both boys turned around to look at me and saw the state that I was in. Liam jumped over the hood of the vandalised car and ran towards me. When he reached me, he bent down to my height and rested his palms on my cheeks.
"Soze?"
No answer.
"Sienna, relax, we aren't going to do anything to you. Please, just stop."
I wondered why on earth he was so worried and noticed that I began to draw blood with my nail digging into my skin.
"Sienna, just stop." He pulled his hands into mine and began rubbing soothing circles around my skin in an attempt to calm me down.
Unfortunately, it worked. Not that calming down was a bad thing, it was the idea that Liam was the one who helped me.
"Take deep breaths, Soze."
I listened to him and sucked in a vast amount of air, releasing it through my nose. I repeated this process over and over again until I felt like I was in control of myself. I couldn't believe my anxiety had become that bad in just a few moments after I learnt to ward it away for years. My eyes examined the perfectly smooth pavement below me. I lifted my head and my eyes connected straight to Liam's.
He was watching me apprehensively and I could feel his fingers continuing to rub smooth circles. Like a splash of cold water, my anger came back, and even worse this time, and I ripped my hands away from him.
"Don't you dare touch me." I hissed, glaring at him furiously.
He frowned and looked confused for a second before he masked his features.
"You were making yourself bleed and-"
"That was you! You and your freaking brother! How dare you try and blackmail me!" I yelled, my throat hurting from the way my voice croaked.
"F*ck Sienna, if you could just-"
"No!" I shouted, not letting him finish off whatever it is he wanted to say.
I could hear my phone ringing from my purse but I ignored it.
"Sienna, just listen to what we have to-"
This time it was Mike and I cut him off, too.
"If you both don't find the owner of the car you destroyed and pay him the money for your destruction, so help me God, I will call the police." I glared through gritted teeth.
Mike looked torn while Liam had the audacity to look amused.
"Soze, again, do you think we f*cking care about the police?"
"Uh, Liam, I think we should care." Mike had the decency to look worried.
My anger flared as Liam simply rolled his eyes at his brother.
"No. She doesn't know shit. She can call the police and I will spend another f*cking year in prison if I have to. I'm not giving this up."
Giving what up?
"What the hell is wrong with you? Are you that much of a moronic, adrenaline junkie that you feel the need to constantly destroy property of innocent people? How deranged can you be!?"
Liam's amusement washed away and was replaced by anger.
"Don't f*cking talk to me like that. You don't know shit so why don't you just go inside and enjoy a nice dinner with your family or so help me God, I will ruin you."
My retort was frozen by his last words and my mind blanked out, and then went into overload.
"Liam! F*ck! What the hell is wrong with you?! That's f*cking Sienna!" Mike yelled at his brother, pushing him slightly in anger.
It looked like these boys hardly fought because Liam's expression was shocked at his brother's reaction.
Liam gulped heavily and his eyes averted back to my hands where I was robotically digging my fingernails into my skin.
"Sienna, stop."
He took a step towards me and I shook my head, taking a step backwards in panic.
"Stay the hell away from me." I growled.
"Sienna-"
But it was too late, I was already going in through the exit door and finding my family again.
***
"So you're not cheating on Jacob?" My mum asked in confirmation as we stepped into the bathroom.
She wanted to reapply her makeup and I wanted to use any excuse to get out of Liam's viewing of me. My table ended up being right behind his and the way we were seated, we could make direct eye contact. And after I explained to my mum that I was outside with Liam, she kept looking towards him and finding him staring at me.
"No mum, you know I wouldn't do that." I laughed.
She applied a single coat of mascara and placed it back into her handbag.
"I also wouldn't think that you would threaten to call the police on them but oh well..." She grinned mischievously.
"That was out of selflessness and bravery."
She scoffed at that and fixed her hair a little.
"You were having an anxiety attack outside and you actually think they believe your threat?" She raised her brows.
"That wasn't an anxiety attack." I huffed. "It was just..."
"An anxiety attack?" She smirked.
"Yeah, whatever."
"I still think you should keep pestering on how they know you. Like that's sort of creepy. And the way Mike always uses your name to calm down Liam. It's kind of weird." Her nose scrunched up like it did when she was always thinking too much.
"My name doesn't calm him down, per se. It just... well, he looks like he's just trapped in this hole of anger and when he hears reference to my name, it's like he comes back to reality." I tried to explain the abnormality of the situation with Liam and Mike.
"How cute, you're his saviour." She touched her hand to her heart in fake-awe.
"Mum, I have a boyfriend, remember?"
She stopped fixing her hair and smirked at me.
"I never made reference to Liam as your boyfriend. You thought of that on your own." She spoke smugly.
"I-I did not! I hate him; he's nothing but an idiot who believes he's above the law."
"Mmhm..." She drifted off.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I challenged.
"It's supposed to mean Mmhm."
I rolled my eyes and waited a few more moments until she was finally finished and we walked back outside together. Once we were seated, I could feel Liam's eyes on me and I tried to engage in conversation to pretend that I couldn't notice his piercing gaze.
"Yeah, that's very true." I nodded in agreement at whatever they were saying.
My dad and Alex stopped talking and looked at me in confusion.
"You don't even know what we're talking about." They looked at me like I was stupid.
"Umm..."
"Anyway, James, about what Alex said..." My mum stole the attention from me and spoke with my dad and Alex, purposely leaving me out of the conversation so I would look weird.
"I'm going to check on my food!" I blurted, standing up from my chair.
I looked at the table in front of me and saw that the twins were missing. Where the hell did they go off to? Damaging another car?
And what was with them and cars anyway?
I walked away from the table and ventured off around the kitchen area so my family would think that I was actually checking on my food. No doubt they thought I was crazy tonight. And all because of stupid Liam...
"I can't, Mike. I just won't be able to do it."
"Just try it." A voice, Mike, whispered.
"What if I freak out? I don't know what I'm like in that kind of situation." Liam replied frustratingly.
"I think we should give it a go."
"Where will you be?"
"Off campus."
"Off campus?!"
"Shh! Listen, do you like her?"
"Of course." An automatic response.
There was silence and a chuckle.
"Not like that, Mike!"
"Sure," More laughter. "I think this will be really good for you. It's Sienna. What could go wrong?"
There was more silence that followed but mentally, my head was going crazy at the sound of my name being brought up in this bizarre conversation.
"You know what could go wrong, Mike." Liam said pointedly.
What could go wrong? What could go wrong?!
"The girl's cute."
"She's as weird as Ally Sheedy." Liam grumbled.
Movie reference! I desperately tried to say something but I kept my mouth shut.
"From the breakfast club?"
"Yeah, you know the character Allison Reynolds?"
There was a dark laugh and I frowned. To compare me to Allison Reynolds from The Breakfast Club was a huge insult! That girl was weird and an outcast and just... ugh!
"So will you do it?" Mike asked again after much silence.
"Yeah." His tone was thoughtful. "Yeah, I'll do it."

Authors Note:
Stop, stop, the applause is jus too much! I know I'm awesome for updating AGAIN early but you need to contain your excitement. Geez!
Okay, so I promised more Liam and Sienna (which I think is now Lienna according to one of my last comments) and you guys got it! Except they weren't really friendly but OH WELL what can we do about that?
And more of the family, too! Perfect combo, right?
Guys! D': I'm on the last season of Gilmore Girls! I can't believe in all my (almost) seventeen years, I haven't ever come across a show like that. The beauty... And again, Lorelei is a massive inspiration for Talia, who's Sienna's mother.
Okay, so I plan on updating AGAIN on Saturday because I'm just amazing like that. I know :D and then depending on certain situations that play out in my oh-so complicated life, I might update twice next week, too.
Did anyone watch the new spin off show to TVD? I personally think that Niklaus has to hands down be the sexiest person to walk this earth and your argument is invalid.
School starts in a few days ughh... Depression is beginning. Whatever happened to women not being allowed to get an education? I'm still on board with that! Jokes, I love school.
Photo of Alex who is played by TVD's Michael Trevino. I like him but he just needs to die or something so Klaus and Caroline can *insert thoughts*
So can anyone guess what is up with the Liam, Mike and Sienna triangle? Cause Sienna needs all the help she can get, the girl is clueless! But seriously, does ANYONE have any clue? Because it'd be fun to see your (Darwin) theories. Jokes, just your normal theories. Biology homework is getting in my head.
So, me mates will be here soon. Gotta get dressed so I can go party! Jokes, I'm going to the library to study haha. That's what I told my mum. When really, I'm going to the library to study :p I don't have a rebellious bone in my body.
Okay so this chapter is dedicated to... DRUM ROLL... loves_melody. And your prize is a lovely movie recommendation! The Breakfast Club! I watched it a week ago and HAD to make a movie reference in this chapter because it was just wow.
Sorry for boring you with my incessant talking. I can't stop to save my life...
Vote, comment, follow. <-- seriously, follow, because I have really funny statuses that will make your day.
