Chapter Fifteen
Friends With Benefits
Liam's POV –
"You do realise she didn't actually invite you, right?" Mike laughed after I told him I planned on going with Sienna back to Stanwell Vale.
I shrugged and shot him a cocky smirk.
"And you do realise I don't give a f*ck, right?"
He just rolled his eyes and let out a deep chuckle.
"Touché, brother. But actually, this worked out well for me. Because while you're there with Sienna, I'll be here with Ally." Mike grinned.
"F*cking her?" I'm pretty sure my smile was now like the one I shot Rose all the time as a kid. Cheeky.
Mike gave me the finger and I just chuckled in return. I just felt happy for him, the guy had been by my side my whole life, and well and truly in my time of need and even though he was ridiculously whipped over this girl that somehow made him happy, I was glad that he could finally feel the same way I felt about Sienna.
Sienna. Soze. My brunette with the curls.
God, she was beautiful in every single way and her stupid, asshole of a boyfriend didn't know how wise it was for him to just let her go. The jackass. She belonged with me and the douche knew it too, but he couldn't let go of his pride for just one f*cking second and let me claim her as mine.
Well, she was mine anyway. I had seen her before he even set eyes upon her. And plus, I saw her at her worst, most vulnerable and most traumatic state. That was true, raw emotion there and I saw it. Not him, not that f*cked up blonde friend of hers and certainly not Ally (not that I had anything against the chick). My point was that she was solely mine, especially considering the way I first saw her.
And today, I was going back to Vale for the second time of my life.
"Are you ever going to tell her how you actually feel about her?" Mike asked as I grabbed my wallet and keys, shoving them into my pocket.
"Yeah, I told her already."
I would rather not repeat that moment. I didn't really care for a romantic setting or time but all I knew was that I had strong feelings for my Soze and she needed to know. I wasn't some pussy who was too scared about scaring her off or anything. If anything, it brought us closer.
And she probably now understood why I was so deranged and obsessive over her. Not that I showed that in a perfect light.
"You told her?" Mike exclaimed disbelievingly. "What'd she say?"
"Mike, the brunette with the curls is in love with me. It's as clear as day."
"Is that what she told you?"
"No." I replied impishly. "But she'll realise it soon enough." I huffed, puffing out my chest to show my masculinity. I mean, how could she not be in love with all of this?
"Wait – so she rejected you?" He seemed amused, the bastard.
"Not exactly rejected me, but yeah she didn't tell me she liked me in that way either." I shrugged, trying to show that I didn't care.
"Cut the act, Liam. I know how you feel about her." Mike laughed at my act of carelessness.
"Well you know how I feel about her; I have nothing else to say."
"So what's stopping you two from getting together?"
"One is that she has a boyfriend. I won't make her cheat." I stated. "And two, I'm afraid she'll figure out how we know her."
