Epilogue
Sixteen Months Later
Sienna's POV –
My hand reached out to my side and felt emptiness. Still keeping my eyes closed, I allowed my hand to pat the area beside me and came up short. I felt sleepy and grumpy, and I was so not bothered to even open my eyes. Before I allowed myself to get sucked into sleep again, a faint smell had my eyes pop open.
Coffee.
Yes, I definitely smelt coffee. And there was none of my room. My mood darkened as I realised that I was tired and in need for coffee, yet there was nothing here. I scowled at the window, knowing that the view of the New York skyline wasn't the issue of my problem at the moment, but nonetheless, I was going to scowl.
The pillow beneath my head began to move and I wondered if I was crazy. Since when did my pillow begin to move?
After a few seconds, my mind caught up to the moment and I realised that my phone was under my pillow and vibrating. Right. A phone call. This should be good.
With a lot of moans and groans, I reached my hand under the pillow and grabbed my phone, answering it without checking ID.
"Hello?" My voice came out groggier than I initially thought.
"Did you just wake up?"
"Mum, I'm dying."
"Why?" I could hear amusement in her tone.
Good to know if I was ever actually dying, she'd be serious about it.
"I smell coffee and I can't be bothered getting out of bed. You get my dilemma, right?"
It was a pretty big issue. I was never a good person to wake up to. This was why Ally never woke me up for classes in the morning and let me be late to class when we shared our dorm room. I pulled the sheets off of me and shuddered from the cold. I looked down and found myself in my underwear.
Memories of last night came to mind and I searched the floor for Liam's shirt. I picked it up and threw it on, all the while skilfully speaking to my mum.
"So, how's the new apartment?" I could hear her grin.
"Mum's it's new after a day, a week, maybe a month. But after four months, the apartment isn't so new anymore. It's just an apartment."
"Stop being such a bitch, Enna." Despite her words, I could just picture her laughing and sitting at the breakfast table with my dad.
"Mum." I grumbled, feeling the need to sink back into bed. But today was an important day so I had to make sure I was up bright and early to satisfy Liam. "I'm going to kill someone. I need coffee."
I walked out of the room and followed the sweet scent of espresso.
"I mean, do you think it's possible for someone to actually kill over a cup of coffee? Because I swear I'm willing to kill someone right now just to have a shot."
"Of alcohol?"
"Of coffee!"
My mum was now in full-fledged laughter and somewhere in the background, I could hear my dad laughing too. Guess she put me on speaker again...
"How about you give me a call after the coffee?" She chuckled.
"Will do." I muttered and hung up the phone.
I finally made it to the kitchen where the aroma hit me with full force. I felt my lips begin to curl up in absolute delight and my eyes widened, no doubt. Before I could run to my beautiful coffee machine, which, by the way, was bought by my beautiful boyfriend, said beautiful boyfriend snaked his arm around my waist and pulled me to his chest.
