Ally's POV –

"What time is he coming to pick you up?" I asked Sienna as we simultaneously downed our coffees.

She wrinkled her nose slightly, and I didn't need to hear her speak to know her thoughts. This coffee was undeniably terrible – especially when left cold.

Sienna shrugged and placed her mug in my kitchen sink.

"I don't know, when is Mike coming?" She answered, walking back towards the couch beside me.

"About an hour or so. He told me he's taking me out, do you think it's another double date?" I asked.

We had both been dating the Turner twins for about a year and six months – well, precisely twenty months. At the boys' graduation, Liam had amazingly popped the question to my best friend. The amount of happiness I felt for them, well, more specific, Sienna, was overwhelming.

I only ever wished the best for her and for years, at times she felt distant. But now that I knew the real reason for her detachment... it all made sense. And to have someone like Liam who was so smitten by her really emphasised just the contentment I had.

And now, I had been hearing little rumours here and there that Mike was in interest of popping the question to me. I didn't know how I felt about it. I was young – only twenty – and he was twenty three. Don't get me wrong, I was completely and irrevocably in love with him, but I just didn't know about marriage.

"Nope." I shrugged.

Problem was, the graduation was almost two months ago. Within that week, I heard around he wanted to propose. And it lasted for about a week before the rumours died down and I heard nothing of the sort about Mike and what he wanted.

"Liam wanted to celebrate the proposal. Apparently."

"He proposed like two months ago." I chuckled, flicking through channels.

"I know. But we haven't been out to celebrate." She replied.

We settled for reruns of Friends and watched one episode before there was a knock on the door. Sienna and I both shot each other meaningful looks as the knocks turned into bangs.

"It's your apartment," Sienna grinned. "You have to open."

I rolled my eyes and muffled a few arguments as I brought myself off the couch. Usually when we were hanging out at Sienna and Liam's place, I made her get up when there were knocks.

I trudged over to the door and opened it, revealing the smirking twins, surprisingly joined by their brother in law, Nate. I groaned internally at seeing the arrogant Nate Sanders and sucked it up, knowing the more I showed my distaste for his arrogance, the more he would tease.

"Mike's girlfriend," Nate drawled out the word teasingly.

Too bad, he would really use anything to tease me. And in this case, he was teasing the fact that Liam and  Sienna were engaged, while Mike and I were still dating.

"Rose's husband," I drawled out the word, not really knowing where I was getting at.

He frowned slightly and the top of his mouth quirked up. Mike took a step into the apartment and wrapped his arms around my torso as I awaited a retort from Nate.

"You say that like it's a bad thing, Ally. You have no idea how good my wife is in bed." He winked.

At that, both Liam and Mike shot a penetrating glare, Liam doing more by socking Nate in the stomach. He let out a grouch of pain and both boys chuckled.
