Chapter Sixteen
Twilight
Sienna's POV –
I was glad my dad didn't actually act like a dad towards Liam. And this isn't got me worrying. What worried the hell out of me was the fact that I knew that Liam would be in my life for a very long time to the point where I was worried about my dad's reaction toward him. I needed my dad to like him, or well, to not hate him.
Liam sat on the couch next to me, too close for my guilt, just as my parents stood up to pick up takeout for tonight's classic marathon. My dad kept looking at Liam weirdly, like he knew him from somewhere. I dismissed it, assuming my dad recognised him from an Abercombie commercial.
Anyway. we were watching all the classic books made into movies – Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice, Great Gatsby, all that. This was great for me because each movie had an amazing male as lead.
And Leonardo DiCaprio as Gatsby? Could it get any better?
Liam found amusement in our plans, like he realised where I got my witty comments and movie references from.
"Are you ever going to give me a tour of the house?" He asked, his breath fanning the side of my face.
"Um..." What did he say again? "Sorry, could you repeat that?"
He chuckled and he was so freaking close, I could feel his laughter.
"I asked if you would take me on a tour of the house. I mean, I've been here for a few hours and we've been glued to this couch."
"Well that's how I spent most of my time here anyway. Either that, hanging in Charlottes or studying in my room."
He nodded and stood up from the couch, pulling a hand out to me.
"What are you doing?" I frowned.
"Take my hand, Soze." He smirked.
"What for?" I asked, eyeing his outstretched arm as if it were a nuclear weapon.
"Take my hand." He persisted.
I wanted to take his hand but I questioned myself. Was there anything wrong with it? Technically, I wasn't cheating. We hadn't had any physical contact like that and we weren't dating. He happened to be a friend who had feelings for me. No biggie.
So, I took his hand.
He smiled at me – a real, genuine smile that made my heart melt and he walked me to the kitchen.
"This is the part where you say 'Well, Liam, this is the kitchen. When we get married and have twenty kids and I am an obedient housewife, I'll be in here cooking you all kinds of food.'" He smirked.
I narrowed my eyes at him and managed to blush a little. God, he was just making a joke, why did I have to be like this?!
"Liam, shut up." I was too afraid to say anything else.
Afterall, I had made a joke about him coming home with me and he took the invitation seriously and actually came home with me. Not that I was complaining.
Liam chuckled and we exited the kitchen and instead walked up the stairs where all the bedrooms were. We entered Alex's room first which was occupied according to a 'get out, I'm killing zombies!' My brother...
My mum's – well, my parents – room was next. I didn't dare enter it, I just stood in the doorway and told him it belonged to my parents.
My room was next. And again, I just stood in the doorway.
