Chapter Seventeen
P.S I Love You
Sienna's POV –
"S-Sienna! I can explain!"
And this is the part in a book or a film where the protagonist would shake their head, shout some words, walk away and mend a broken heart. But no, not me. The cheater always said the same thing. That they could 'explain' what they had been doing. But the victim always turned their explanation down and walked away. But I was curious. Jacob was caught in the act, what was he going to say?
"Okay." I nodded, crossing my arms. "Explain yourself."
And then the bastard had the audacity to hesitate.
Yeah, I scoffed. He could really explain his actions. Jacob probably expected me to fall to my knees and cry or to turn around and run away, telling him I could never forgive him.
The stupid, masochistic asshole.
"Go ahead, Jacob." I said more loudly. "Explain yourself."
He was a cross between confused and scared. He had every damn right to be scared.
"I-I-"
"I said," This time I was yelling, "Explain yourself! What the f*ck do you think you're doing?"
Yeah, I swore, and I felt ashamed but in the moment, I couldn't stop myself. Again, Liam would be very proud of me.
"I'm sorry." He muttered, his eyes averting to the floor.
I chuckled darkly, clearly no humour within me.
"I didn't ask for you to apologize. You said that you could explain yourself so I'm going to give you the opportunity to do so."
This time, I could feel my eyes burn and I used every encouraging word to make myself blink back the tears. I would not give him the satisfaction of knowing that this stupid thing affected me. Even though my shouts clearly exemplified it.
"Sienna, I'm sorry. B-but Chelsea and I-"
"How long has this been going on?"
"Uhm, uh-"
"Stop f*cking hesitating. Did I stutter? No I didn't. So don't you dare hesitate. Answer me, or I will end you." The threat came out before I knew it.
"O-one month."
"Really?"
"Two months."
Oh.
"So since we started college?"
A nod.
The f*cking bastard cheats on me and all I get is a nod?
"S-Sienna, I wanted to tell you b-but there was never the chance a-and-"
"Shut up. Just shut up! How dare you?!" Amazingly, this was the angriest I've ever been. Well, except for another time, but anyway, I was pretty damned pissed. "You accused me of cheating on you with Liam when here you were, not being able to keep it in your pants!"
And he didn't reply. He just stared at me for a few seconds before he looked down just like Chelsea. They were both still almost naked and this time, they were sitting on the couch rather than on top of one another. And I just stood inside, with the door slammed shut amidst my outburst and I didn't know what to do. Every film or book always had the protagonist turning away, refusing to look. I couldn't relate to their situation because they all turned away while I was here, facing my issue.
