"Are we done?" Hades asks after our third game of charades. We have been playing for almost two hours straight. Zada is probably practicing with Nadine and so me and Hades are alone. He came over at two, so it must be around four or five, but it feels like it's already night time.
"I guess we could take a little break." I say, making him roll his eyes. Excuse me?
"You can leave if you want. I didn't know you're annoyed by this." I roll my eyes, standing up from my bed and straightening my back.I thought we made up after he admitted that he was just tired and not avoiding me. But since he came into the room, he seems angry and just distant.
"Who said I was annoyed? Stop putting words into my mouth." He warns me, standing up as well and running a hand through his hair. I take a step closer to him, making him frown down at me in curiosity.
"Well something's annoying you." I place my hands on my hips. He narrows his eyes, but keeps silent. I take a moment to observe his features. He looks tired. So unmotivated and just not himself. It might has to do something with his new job, but who knows.
"What is it, Hades?" I ask softly. He glares at me briefly and drops his gaze.
"Nothing. Let's just continue practicing." He shakes his head, sitting back down on my bed. I sigh, but follow him on the bed."Okay, so. These past two years they had made up new games like- you know." I almost said: like the one at the party, where we made out. Holy crap, that would've made it even more awkward than before.
"So all we can do is actually practice how we are in a team. Like having a secret sign language or something." I shrug and he nods.
He murmurs something under his breath, making me frown.
"What?" I ask and he shakes his head."So, you want to come up with a new sign language?" He asks, confused.
"No. Maybe. I don't know. What do you wanna do?" I ask, not sure what I was trying to tell him."I don't care. I'm just happy when this shit is over." He mutters, making me suck my teeth and nod slowly. Okay, well.
"Let's do sign language then." I say, standing up in front of him. If he wants to act all grumpy and careless, I let him. But I'm not going to try any longer. I've had it with him today.
He nods and watches my fingers. I explain to him what the alphabet in sign language is and he seems to get a hang of it. I'm actually impressed at how fast he learned it. Five minutes later and we are already done.
"Well, I think we're good." I say and watch him stand up. He nods, eyeing me for a brief second and without another word he leaves the room. Wow. Just wow! How am I going to do this? Why did he look at me like that? And why is he acting like he knows something I don't?
I know, I should just let him cool off and maybe he'll get back to his old self on his own, but I just don't get it. He has been acting like this since last weekend. As far as I remember, nothing happened. Other than he got a job. So it might just really be the job.
Hades's PoV:
I can't believe she still hasn't told me. I know I'm distant lately, but didn't she feel the need to fucking tell me she had a guy? She just keeps leading me on and I'm done. I'm literally done with her, until she tells me about her secret relationship. Even if she doesn't feel the same about me, I deserve to know that.
I know, I didn't tell her about my job either, but that's a whole other thing. You can't compare that. I look back at the photo, that hang on the door of mine and Jaiden's cabin. She is kissing some guy in the club and on the bottom corner of the photo it says the date. That was last Tuesday, after the day I fainted.
