This chapter will be Logan's perspective.
I picked up my blanket and the remaining candy and soda. I didn't want to go back to my cabin, I wanted to chill under the stars by the beach. I would have done it for a lot longer too, but Zoe really wanted to be a rule follower. So hey, what's a guy gonna do? I walked back to the Hermes cabin and stuffed the blanket under my bed. I put the candy in my bag I brought with me from the Albany Academy.
"What's up Logan. I thought you were gonna go hang out by the beach?" Said Travis.
"Yeah well I went at first but it didn't work out. So I came back." I said.
"Okay, well if you're gonna try to sleep, good luck with that. Most of us usually stay up at least another two hours."
I sat down on my bed. I wondered about the Roman's from Camp Jupiter. I didn't know anything about Camp Jupiter. We were gonna play capture the flag tomorrow which meant we were going to have to win. I had played many games of it but not in a long time. I'm no son of Athena, but I was all about strategy. I decided to go talk to the Athena campers to see what strategies they had planned. I walked up until I finally came to the Athena cabin. I wasn't sure what to do. I didn't want to barge into the cabin. Maybe I could knock? I noticed Tom Clark coming from behind me. Perfect I could get him to let me in.
"Tom, do you know anything about tomorrows capture the flag war strategies?" His grey eyes seemed to light up a bit.
"Yeah, you should come into the cabin with me. We are doing last minute war strategies tonight."
I followed him into the cabin where I saw about a dozen kids looking at maps of camp half blood and talking. I could tell they were deep in their thoughts because they didn't notice us come in. Leading the discussion was Annabeth.
"What's up guys?" I said.
"Logan, hello. What are you doing here?" Annabeth asked.
"I came to see what the capture the flag strategies are."
She seemed a little surprised but she didn't kick me out.
"Come sit down." She said.
Tom and I followed each other walked over to the Athena campers and sat down.
"The simplest way to say this is that we are going to take people from each cabin and make five groups. One group will charge and be in plain sight. Another group will guard the flag but they will be hiding so no one thinks they are there. Another group will be sneaking around in the forest to try and scout for the flag. One group will be on defense. They last group be trappers. So like the Hephaestus kids and anyone else who will be good at making traps." Annabeth said.
It was a lot of information but it all made sense to me, when it came to war I had always been good at following along with strategies.
"Can I suggest something?" I asked.
"Sure." Annabeth said but she didn't look very open for ideas.
"A diversion of sorts. They Hecate cabin are really good with the mist. Together they could make the situation look completely different from what it actually is. With them distracted it would be easy to get to the flag."
"It could work but I have a friend who is good with the mist it might not work on her."
"What is one person compared to a whole camp?" I asked.
"You have a point, but what would the Hecate cabin show with the mist?" Annabeth asked.
"It could be something big or simple. If it were simple it could be as easy as making a few people blend into their environment. If it were bigger it could be a whole group. Like the group who sneaks around."
"I see where you're going here. It's a good idea, I'll talk to my siblings about it and see what they think. For now, if you want you can go back to your cabin." She said.
I left and started heading back to the Hermes cabin. I wished I had winged sandals like my dad or Zoe. I wondered if she could make me some. I'd have to ask tomorrow for capture the flag.
