"What the heck is going on here?" You ask. Your voice is loud, clear and demanding. The three boys (who are obviously sophomores) turn to look at you in surprise.
You are absolutely against bullying and since you are one of the most popular (and hence pretty influential) seniors in school you are always up for standing against it.
"Why are you beating that kid?" Your questions is directed to the two boys who were relentlessly beating the living daylights out of the third boy.
"You're Y/N, right?" One of the bullies question in a low voice. "Jeonghan's girlfriend?"
You don't exactly like how people know you but there's not much you can do about it. You and Jeonghan are the golden couple of your school. He is the most popular guy here as he is also the captain of school's basketball team. Practically, everyone knows you two.
"And aren't you two interested in being on the team?" You question though it's pretty much rhetoric. "Now why don't you leave that poor kid alone and, oh well, just get lost?"
They nod and go away immediately. You sigh and then ask the kid with genuine concern-"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, yeah. Thank you." He says managing a small smile. There's a bruise on his face. He doesn't look okay to you at all.
"What's your name?"
"Lee Chan."
You nod and then say-"Well, I doubt that they would trouble you again but in case they do you can always come to me for help, okay?"

That was how you had met Chan. After that day, you had become quite good friends. You always have a casual talk with him at school once in a while. He's a good kid and is always up for helping you in anyway possible. He is a good listener too so if there's something you want to share he's always there for you.
Of course, you don't interact with him much (but always once in a day) because you are usually surrounded by the popular crew. You aren't just a cheerleader but also Jeonghan's girlfriend so the whole school knows you.
When Jeonghan had first asked you out, you were surprised yourself. Even though you were a cheerleader you weren't very popular before. Apart from that he didn't usually ask out girls either. Unlike many other guys on the basketball team, he is not a playboy. He is sincere when it comes to relationships.
You have now been dating him for nearly a year. You still can't believe that the two of you have come this far. And now that you have officially become school's golden couple, everyone expects the two of you to be together for a long time.
