How about we go for a walk?
You immediately respond to Youngjae's message affirmatively. Putting on your shoes and checking yourself in the mirror once, you head outside your dormitory. On reaching The Café - which is the usual hangout place for students in the campus - you spot Youngjae easily. It's been quite a while since you've seen him.
"Hey, Y/N. Let's go." He says and leads you outside.
As the two of you take a walk in the college campus Youngjae strikes a general conversation. He asks - "So, what's up with you these days?"
"Nothing much." You just shrug.
"Made any new friends here?"
You nod. "A few new friends . . . "
"Like the one you usually walk with?" Youngjae's question takes you by surprise. Noticing your reaction, he adds - "I've seen you with him a multiple times. I guess the entire campus has."
"Yeah, his name is Mark. He's a good friend." You say with a sigh.
The two of you are silent for a while. You just focus on the sky and the trees.
"Y/N?" Youngjae asks quietly. You turn to him. He continues - "The thing is . . . Mark isn't exactly in the good boy diaries here. You must be aware of that, right?"
"Yeah. You can just jump straight to the point instead of beating around the bush." You say in the politest tone possible.
Youngjae sighs. "You know what I'm talking about, Y/N. From what I've heard, he is dangerous. I'll suggest you stay away from him. I have never really interacted with him or anything . . . "
"I'm not sure what you've heard of him but I know him on a very personal level." You say feeling exasperated already. Since he's your senior you can't exactly be rude to him.
This is not the first time you're hearing this either. Your friends have said the same thing a multiple times already.
"See," Youngjae warns, "I'm telling you what I've heard. It's your wish, of course. But just don't regret your decisions later."
You try your best to keep your temper in check and somehow manage to say in a very diplomatic tone, "I'll be careful."
He nods and the two of you continue to walk further in awkward silence. After a few steps you say-"Listen, I'll have to go now. I'm sorry. I'll see you later."
