Méi Hánxuě was not a jealous man.

Why? Did people really think he'd sulk in a corner just because Mei Hanxue, his twin brother, had a harem?

How preposterous.

Who cared about those women anyway? For Méi Hánxuě, they were nothing compared to Xue Ziming.

Ah, Xue Meng, the courtesy name was Xue Ziming. He was the young master of Sisheng Peak, the darling of the heavens, and Méi Hánxuě's beloved. Xue Meng was a proud young man, so innocent no one could taint him.

Until that day happened...

The day where Xue Meng lost everyone he cared about. Chu Wanning, his esteemed shizun, was missing. Shi Mei, his only friend, was nowhere to be found too. Don't even get started with Mo Ran, that damn cousin of his. It took Xue Meng a long time to accept Mo Ran as a part of their family, so as a punishment, the heaven took away Mo Ran just when he decided to recognize him as his brother.

The heaven's cruelty didn't stop there. Xue Meng was utterly alone now that his parents had passed away as well. Xue Zhengyong, the head of Sisheng Peak, died protecting his precious son Xue Meng. The latter's mother, Wang Chuqing, chose to sacrifice herself for their sect's sake and to accompany her dear husband into the underworld.

How romantic.

But Xue Meng only felt bitterness.

It was unfair. How could they leave him all alone in this chaotic world?

"You're not alone, Ziming." Méi Hánxuě begged to differ. He wouldn't allow the darling of the heavens to walk alone. "I'll be with you."

Unfortunately, it seemed like Xue Meng didn't really want to be with him.

"Ziming," Méi Hánxuě called softly, his green eyes beaming with patience and gentleness as he supported Xue Meng's weight. "You're drunk."

He was indeed drunk. Xue Meng could barely stand straight; he'd surely fall on the ground if Méi Hánxuě wasn't holding his waist.

"Drunk?" Xue Meng innocently furrowed his brows, attempting to push Méi Hánxuě away. So stubborn. Did he think he could stand without any help? "Who are you calling drunk? No one's drunk. Your baobei is not drunk!"

Sober Xue Meng would never call himself Méi Hánxuě's baobei, not even when it had been two years since they confessed their romantic feelings for each other.

Xue Meng was just like his shizun. Both of them were easily flustered.

"Ziming, I can smell the pear blossom wine on your breath." Méi Hánxuě pressed his nose on the corner of his lover's lip. He did this to prove his point, but in the end, his selfish desire won.

He kissed the side of drunk Xue Meng's lips.

"I did drink." Xue Meng confessed. "But I'm not easily drunk. My shizun—he—"
