Chapter 14

Unedited

Endellion

My father's a wise man. He's contributed in many great deals and businesses, and even built his own. From taking care of major dairy factories to establishing his own, he ended up taking over plenty of great organizations and has even taken part in building them bigger, stronger, and more successful.

As a child, I was thought to have lived a perfect life. I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth, had been given all the toys I wanted, and had been granted magnificent home education by multiple college professors.

However, despite the seemingly perfect life I'd bore, it was a mundane one – monotonously drained of any sort of excitement.

There were nights when I'd wished to face a drastic bump in the straight road lane I'd lived in. I desperately sought changes in my humdrum, so called ideal life.

And so it happened; the boring plain existence of mine, changed for the worse.

"Wake up, Delly. We've got guests!" chirped Ceci with her soft voice.

However, her harmonic, peaceful voice was easily be omitted from all the peacefulness it held when her hands aggressively shook my sides.

And damn was that girl strong.

All the shaking resulted in me falling off of the bed with a loud thump.

Chuckling erupted in the entire room. I growled angrily at the disruption of my serenity and finally opened my eyes.

Only to be greeted by disappointed brown ones.

Max. What was he doing here?

"Max...? What- what are you doing here? What time is it...?" I mumbled confusedly, glancing backwards at the digital alarm clock that lay on my bedside table.

7:20 PM.

Oh. It seems like I've overslept. Oh well.

Turning my eyes back to Max, I raised my eyebrows in question, waiting for him to reply.

"Damn, Dylan," he chuckled, "I figured you'd not care much, but not to the point of completely forgetting about it."

To say I was confused would be an understatement. I was baffled, really. "What are you blabbing on about?!" honestly, my patience was wearing thin.

"The science fair, remember? You said you'd help us," added a new voice. I looked up at Cliffie who stood beside a pretty young girl with brown hair.

The science fair...? Oh! I mentally smacked myself for forgetting about that.

"Oh... right. Sorry, I kinda overslept." I smiled sheepishly, looking back at Max.

I was aware that there were quite a lot of people here in my room, but chose to ignore it for the time being.

Max let out a guttural sound. "It's alright. Well, Dylan, here are the people who will be joining us and helping us with the fundraising we'll be doing." He pointed around the room, "It's all up to you now, I assume you have an idea as to how we're going to do this?"

Finally, I looked around. I noted that all the boys except for Luther were there, in addition to that, there was Ceci, the girl with the brown hair and Macy.

Cracking my fingers, I smiled in agreement.

"Oh yes, ladies and gents. I've got just the perfect plan."
