Chapter 23 part 2

Luther

"Cobra, can you stop glaring at me?" I said, rolling my eyes.

Cobra was mad, to say the least. Ever since he first woke up, he hadn't spoken a single word to me and kept on plain glaring at me, his dark orbs slicing through my head like knives.

I was confused as to why he was so upset as I didn't really do anything bad...

I decided it was best to go over the past events of the day.

Recalling the past events, there was honestly nothing I could think of that would make him mad at me. Besides that, he was fine the night before. So it didn't make much sense to me.

The only reasonable reason would have had to take place this morning.

I skimmed through the events of the past two hours only to face palm myself as I came to understand exactly why he was mad...

Flashback 4:50 AM.

I opened the music classroom door only to find a petite Asian girl sitting down playing a piano.

Her brown hair looked soft and was flowing down in silky waves. Her eyes were closed as she continued on playing the song my mother loved.

I let out a sigh, feeling a smile of serenity spreading across my cheeks. The girl's voice was beautiful and soothing.

Deciding on not interrupting her, I simply stood there and listened to her angelic vocals forming a beautiful melody.

Upon hearing the last verse of the song, I couldn't help but clap.

That, of course, resulted in the girl jumping up from her seat and opening her eyes, looking at me in confusion.

That girl, I came to realize, was Cecily, Endellion's best friend.

"Uhm, Luther..." she murmured timidly, placing a strand of hair behind her ear. "How long were you here...?"

Deciding to mess a little with the clearly frustrated girl, I smirked, saying, "long enough to hear your beautiful voice, cutie." I winked, adding to the flirtation.

Cecily's cheeks turned bright red as she began stuttering, babbling nonsense and looking at her feet uncomfortably. "U-um, thanks?"

I chuckled, dragging my feet towards her and moving my index finger on the instruments I passed by.

My steps stopped right before the tiny girl who seemed to be...frightened. I took that as a good sign though, for my purpose was to simply mess with her a little bit.

Humming softly, I dragged my fingertips along her face, towards her brown hair, taking a strand and twisting it, gazing into her brown eyes seductively.

My gaze drifted downwards and towards her neck, only to catch her gulping loudly. Shifting my eyesight back to her eyes, I felt something foreign.

It felt cold.

I tilted my head in wonder as my mind drifted towards a certain green-eyed, witty blonde.

My eyes burned into the-now green-orbs, freezing as I was completely held captive in the captivating...enticing beautiful eyes of hers. My sight drifted to the dark blonde strands, feeling all types of shocks run through my veins.

My heart raced fast for the second time today, limbs going cold and-I froze, feeling held up by emotions.

It was as though my body was being controlled by my emotions; I shook- hyperventilated, really.
