Stuck Inside Four Walls

Chapter two

I have just arrived at Mrs. Stone's office. She has been on the phone ever since I arrived, so I'm kind of just sitting here waiting awkwardly. She finally puts the phone down.

"Hello Alyssa. I'm so glad you could meet me here today. I have a fantastic proposition for you." She says with enthusiasm clear in her voice.

"That's great! I'd love to hear it." I reply, trying to hide my nervousness.

"I know that you have just recently started here and all, but I see a lot of potential in you. So, I was wondering if you would like to go on a trip with a few other girls from here. It will be a road trip, kind of thing. Each city you stop in you will do a small photo shoot. So it will be about a month long trip since you will be travelling all over England. You don't have to give me your answer now, but I would like to know by tomorrow this time." She says casually.

I'm over the moon. I would be off my head not to accept this. She was right, this is life changing. This gives me the experience I need to grow in this business.

"I would love to! This is a wonderful opportunity. Thank you so much. You can put me down for it now!" I say with excitement.

"Alright well, here's all the information you will need." She says as she hands me a folder filled with information.

"So you can go home and prepare for the trip now, since you guys are leaving tomorrow." She tells me and I thank her as I exit her office.

I arrive at the apartment I share with my roommate Ellie, who happens to work for the same agency as me. She is a few years older than me, but we get along well. I unlock the door and in runs Ellie.

"GUESS WHAT?!" She squeals.

"What now." I say with a laugh as I take off my boots and coat.

"I'm going on a trip where I get to travel around England and model!" She says and squeals yet again. I wonder if we are going on the same trip?

"Me too? When are you leaving?" I ask.

"Tomorrow! Wait what?" She says with a confused look on her face. I take the folder of information out of my bag and go to sit on the couch to see if it says her name, for who I'm going with. Sure enough it does. And some girl named Alexis.

"I think we are going on the same trip." I says with a smile on my face. She let's out a squeal and hugs me. At least I know someone who's going with me. This is going to make the trip so much more enjoyable. I wonder who this Alexis is?

"Hey, do you know who Alexis is?" I ask hoping she will know her.

"Ugh. Is she coming? You don't want to know her. She's a bitch." She says with a disgusted look on her face.

"Well that's not good. Maybe we will put her in line." I says with a giggle.

"Hope so. Anyways let's get packing! This time tomorrow we will be leaving to drive!" She still just as giddy as she was when she first told me the news.
