"Well I'm sorry Alyssa. I have some bad news" she says as a lump appears in my throat.

All the possibilities are running through my mind. What could it be? My mind automatically goes to the worst case scenario. Which is what? I don't know but whatever it is, I can tell it isn't going to be good. My heart is thumping like a speaker in a sleazy night club.

"Wh- what is it?" I ask, not sure if I really want a response.

"Well from all the symptoms, and the results of you're blood test, I appears you have developed a form of cancer. I'm sorry Alyssa." She says sympathetically.

What? Cancer? What am I supposed to say? Am I supposed to cry? Too many questions are running on the treadmill I call my conscience. In all the movies people cry in these situations. I can't feel anything. I'm numb right now. This is not sinking in for me. I'm upset, I guess but I don't get it. So what does this mean? I look over to Ellie and she has her head in her hands. She looks up to the doctor.

"May I ask what kind of cancer it is?" She asks worriedly.

"Well I'll tell you, then I'll explain it. So she has been diagnosed with Acute Lukemia-" she says when she's cut off by Ellie gasping. I see her eyes becoming glossy.

"I'm sorry, you can continue" she chokes out.

"That's alright, so what Acute Lukemia is, is Lukemia that is quick growing. So basically from the day you started feeling the symptoms, is the day it started developing." She explains. I still don't understand.

"So what does this mean for me?" I ask. Will I be put in hospital lock down for god only knows how long?

"Well, this form of cancer is quite vicious, so we will be starting treatments almost immediately. But, we do have a suggestion for you." She says as she looks at both of us.

"Which is?" Ellie asks as she wipes the tears out of her eyes.

"Well, the main hospital in London has a very large cancer centre. So if you're willing to go there, you will receive, what in my opinion is the more efficient treatments. Also you will get in quicker and they have more rooms and such. Now that's not saying that we don't, but this is my suggestion to you. It's absolutely up to you." She proposes her idea. I'm sure she knows what's best, and I would be back in what I have called home for such a short period of time, but it feels like home.

"Yes I will accept that offer. So when will I get there?" I ask.

"Well now it's what? Noon? So we will travel you there, so you should arrive around 4 this evening." She responds. Wow, that's quick.

"So you should bring all of your things with you, since you will be basically living in the hospital for a while. But we will need you to stay here for a few more tests and such." She says as she writes some more things down.

"I'll go get them now. Will I be able to go back to London with her?" Ellie asks the doctor. I'm answering for her.

"Nope. You're staying here. Ellie you're not giving up on this for me. Absolutely not." I tell her. She isn't coming with me. I'll be fine, and the road trip thing ends in a few weeks anyways so she'll be back soon anyways.

"Are you sure? I don't wanna leave you there to deal with this on you're own." She replies.

"Positive. But I would like for you to get my stuff." I say as we both stifle a giggle.

She exits the room and now I'm left to think about my current situation.

(A/N) I'm so sorry I didn't update yesterday. You can blame my French teacher. But omf I cried writing this. I will update again on Thursday because I won't have time tomorrow. But ya hope you guys enjoyed.
