"So what's the plan for today?" I ask my doctor as she enters my room for our morning chat.

"Well in about an hour, you will be receiving your first treatment. But don't worry, I will in charge and the rest of your doctors are just as good as me if not better." She says and I stifle a laugh. I have only known Dr. Smith for a week, but I trust her and I have confidence that she will do a great job, but that doesn't help with my anxiousness.

"Alright so until then, I'll leave you to relax." She says as she leaves the room. I begin a random conversation with Gemma about whatever celebrity gossip is in the news, but we are interrupted.

"Gooooood morning." A cheery voice echoes through the room, and Harry appears into sight.

"Morning." I say cheerfully. This is one of my better days surprisingly. 'Its the calm before the storm' a voice inside my head tells me, but I push it away.

"For you aaaaand for you!" He says as he hands both me and Gemma a brown paper bag. I open it up and smell a strong fresh baked scent. Like what you would smell entering your grandmas house.

"Mmm, thank you it smells amazing." I tell him as I take a bite of the tea biscuit in the bag. It's absolutely mouth watering.

"No problem, I made them at the bakery this morning before I came out here." He explains as he takes a bite of his own.

"Oh Alyssa, forgot to tell you. Your aunt and my mum are gone out for coffee or something, but she told me to tell you that she would be back in a couple of hours." He explains. I hope she makes it back in time for my first treatment. I do trust my doctor and everything, but I just want to have someone there to lean on and tell me that everything will be ok.

Gemma explained to me how her first treatment was. She said for her, she didn't feel anything during it because of the premeds, that tens to make you drowsy. So it's like you are there, but you can't feel anything. But afterwards, you are put in recovery for a few hours to make sure everything went ok, and then they give you some medication to help the pain subside.

My absolute worst fear, was that I would be able to everything happening around me, and just be lying there, motionless. I'm extremely nervous at this point. God only knows if I will make it out alive. I don't want to think about that right now. I push that to the back of my mind, along with all the other terrifying thoughts.

"Alyssa?" A voice breaks me out of my deep thinking. My doctor is standing in front of me.

"We are ready for you now, if that's ok with you?" She asks, even though I can tell I don't really have the option to decline.

"Um ya sure, ok that's fine." I try and hide my fear.

"Alright, well I'll have a nurse arrive in a minute." She says as she leaves the room with her signature smile.

Within seconds I see harry coming over to me. I can tell that he knows I'm scared. He looks at me with pleading eyes as if he asking permission. He opens up his arms for a hug. I gladly oblige. He takes me into his arms and I feel his warmth. It's extremely comforting.

"You'll be fine. You are one of the strongest people I know, even though I've only known for a week. I will be right here when you are out. Promise ok?" He whispers in my ear. Butterflies erupt in my stomach, it's like an explosion. I ignore it and nod while breaking the hug.

"Thank you." I say and muster up a smile.
