"No offense, Layla," Allie pauses. "But it was extremely stupid for you to tell Simeon your number."

"I didn't exactly give it to him... I just," I give a small shrug. "I confirmed that it's still the same."

"Is that giving it to him or what?" Allie looks over at Gigi who's eyes were locked on her phone as she typed.

"Yeah, I guess," Gianna agrees. "But it's not like she's gonna be talking to him heavy. Plus Chris doesn't even know so she's fine."

"Shut up, Gianna, cause you sound stupid now, too," Allie sighs. "Chris is a good boyfriend to you, Layla. He ca-"

"Which is surprising," Gianna cuts her off with her eyes still on her phone.

"Like I said. Shut up, Gianna," Allie eyes her and then puts her eyes back on me but I turned my attention onto Gigi.

The hell does she mean it's surprising?

"And what's that supposed to mean?" I frown while asking.

"It doesn't mean anything, Layla, but take it how you want," she responds, but that wasn't enough.

She's gonna need to elaborate for me.

"Well you didn't say it for your health. What do you mean it's surprising that Chris is a good boyfriend?"

She huffs but still speaks back to me. "What's surprising is the fact that he's being this 'oh so amazing' boyfriend to you, but with me he w-"

"Hold it right there for a sec. When was Chris ever your boyfriend?" I cut her off.

"Layla do not play games with me right now, okay? You know, just like everyone else, that I liked Chris and as far as we knew, he liked me back."

"Yeah, but he never actually asked you to be his girlfriend and you and I both know that," I point out.

This is stupid and I dunno why she's even giving this discussion the time of day when me and Chris are both under the impression that she's over him, but obviously not.

What the hell are the subliminal comments for?

Gianna sucks her teeth and mutters, "This is stupid," which is followed by Allie agreeing.

"How about you both stop going back and forth about this? It's not even completely about Chris being a good guy right now. This is about Layla returning that loyalty. Got it?"

"I do return loyalty to Chris. It just doesn't add up to me why she's catching feelings over this," I pause. "You do realize that Chris is mine, right? That we actually have a title on it?"

"Layla, stop. You know how she was when the-" Allie begins, but once again- I cut her off.

Stop for what when Gigi started this?

It's not my fault that Chris never asked her to be his and if she wants to have a discussion about it, she should do that with Chris. Not me.

Or... she could just let it go, but maybe that's just my logic.

"You know what..." Gigi stands to her feet from where she sat at the swivel chair that was at Allie's desk in her bedroom. "I'm gonna just leave," she continues and then heads to the door while mumbling, "I don't even know why you asked when you could put two and freaking two together by your damn self."

Right after that, the door to Allie's room was kind of slammed shut leaving only Allie and I in here.

"Well that worked out well," Allie speaks sarcastically.
