I shake hands with the opposing team after another win. The team this week wasn't nearly as hard to play against as the week before last. The whole game pretty much consisted on my team constantly scoring and then right when the other team was slightly close, someone would steal the ball and lead it in the other direction.
It was an easy win, but a win is a win, so, I'm happy.
My parents and Sasha once again came to the game, but I won't be leaving with them since I'm staying over Allie's house and I'll be leaving from her house tomorrow morning.
"Congrats on another win," Carter smiled while pulling me into a side hug.
"Thanks noodlehead," I joke.
"What are you doing this weekend coming up?" He asks and then reminds me that there's no game and all.
"I just remembered that I have a trip for team building this weekend," I tell him. "It's my whole gym class."
"Team building? Mr. Davis ain't even mention that to us. Do you think we're going, too?"
"I dunno. Ask sometime this week," I suggest.
"I will. I mean, I'd be fine not going, but if we're going to I just wanna get it out the way already."
"I understand," I nod my head and then turn my head in the direction where I heard my name being called to see Allie waving her hand in a way that told me to come to her, so, I turn to Carter and say, "I gotta go. I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Bet," he answers while pulling me into a quick hug.
"Bye," I wave as I jog over to where Allie was.
"You ready?" She asks when I reach her.
"Yeah c'mon," I respond while digging into my drawstring bag for my keys. When I unlock the bag I say, "Get in."
Once we both get into the car, I put the key into the ignition and when I turn to back out of my parking spot, Allie holds up the aux cord and asks, "Music?"
"For sure," I agree. "And turn it up."
~The Next Morning~
"Aight, so I spoke to Mr. Davis," Carter begins referring to the gym teacher.
"And? What'd he say?" I press.
"He said that my group's going, but he just hasn't told us about it yet. We're supposedly going at a later date, but I'm not tryna do allat. If I can go this weekend I want to," he explains. "My group and yours is supposed to be meeting together at lunch to figure this out."
"He spoke to us. We all know about showing up to the gym at lunch. Lunch is next period," I remind him.
The bell rings at that moment and he responds, "Lunch is now. C'mon," and then he abruptly grabs a hold of my hand leading the way to the gym.
Soon enough, a crowd of seniors are all sitting in the bleachers waiting for the gym teacher to show up and when he finally does, he says in a loud voice so that everyone can hear him, "So, there may be a change in my initial plan."
