Layla Wilkes
My last day in Florida was short and sweet and I'm glad to be heading home today.
The administrator, still in attempts to make me wanna attend their school, came off a bit too energetic as she made attempts to make it seem like she just loved her job oh-so-much.
It was a good attempt to get me to commit, but I'm pretty sure I already knew what I wanted and where I belonged already.
She even tried introducing me to someone she referred to as 'familiar' which was none other than Simeon.
I wasn't surprised that she called herself using him as bait by having someone who graduated from my school tell me about how much they loved it here, but unfortunately for her it didn't really change my opinion any considering I already know about how much he loves the school.
He gave up a lot for it and that says it all.
My mother and I got up first thing this morning in order to make it to our flight on time this morning.
On our flight to even get to Florida we just barely made it on time so we were sure to be on it for the trip back home and once we touched back down in California, I was so glad to see my dad even though it was only a couple of days that we were gone.
I'm already set on staying in-state for college and I'm happy with the decision. I won't be telling anyone, though, until May 1st and leading up to then... I'm going to continue to press for Chris to tell me to stay here in California.
I'd like to believe that that's what he wants anyways, but the fact that he has yet to actually say it and only drops slick hints time to time sort of throws me off. It also makes me, in a weird way, want to see and push for him to show me just how much he actually wants what we have.
My mom and I are on the way home now, but I'll be leaving pretty much just as soon as I arrive since me and Chris have already made plans for later. We're gonna either go get food or go to the mall just for a reason to get out the house and see each other and then.. go from there I guess.

"You ready to tell her whatchu getting?" I asked Layla as we sat in one of those booth tables at Buffalo Wild Wings.
She wanted chicken fingers and I didn't really care where we went which is how we ended up here.
"Yeah. I didn't even need a menu to be honest." Layla then paused and then asked me what was I gonna get.
"Just regular buffalo wings," I answered. "With the mild sauce."
Ion really like trying new things which is why I'm just sticking to a classic as always.
Layla chuckled in response. "You're so basic."
I straight face her before and after asking how.
She looked over the scale of how hot the wings could be and then looked up at me with a goofy smile that I just wasn't with.
"No," I say aloud before she even gets a chance to say whatever stupid idea I knew just popped up in her head.
She only laughs and then goes on to say, "I dare you to try the hottest wings on the menu."
"You know what?" I shake my head as I trail off. "You always talkin' some bullshit, fam. How 'bout you try the wings?"
She laughs again lightly and then bites down on her bottom lip, in what looks like nervousness, as she stares back down at the scale contemplating.
