It was currently the day before school started. I was nervous, but prepared to have my last first day in high school.
This past week had been crazy. Zooey and I had a sleepover the other day with Sparrow and Emily and we didn't sleep at all that night, so.
Also Derek had planned another day with his friends to come to his house and we hung out that day. I really could say that I connected a lot with Michelle and Lulu.
Michelle really is a sweet girl, however she is shy alone. She is a HUGE fangirl over lots of things and likes reading.
Lulu, however, is caring and nice. She and I clicked when we both shared the liking of Harry Potter.
But now, it's weird because I won't see them at my school this year, as I go to a different one to Derek and his friends. That's ok, though, I have my other friends.
Which really reminds me to ask how their summer has been, I haven't seen Dash or Brett in awhile.
My phone beeping interrupted my thoughts as I sat on Derek's bed to read it.
I nearly screamed and dropped my phone when I read the name.
Mitchell
Oh my god! Why is he texting me!
I groan and open the message.
'Hey Laci, I know you don't really want to hear from me anymore, but I just wanted to say that I'm sorry and maybe I can have a second chance? Xoxo Mitch'
He wants to date me again. No way! Derek is wayyyy better than him. I roll my eyes and shut my phone down.
I put it on the side table and crawl into the side of the bed that I was sleeping on. I turned off the lamp light next to me and closed my eyes.
That morning, my alarm blared throughout the room. I lifted my self up from Derek's embrace and turned the alarm off. I stood up and stretched my back. I looked over to see Derek sleeping peacefully. He wakes up later then I do.
That morning was sort of a rush for me. I changed into my clothes for the day, got my stuff together, got ready, and ate within 45 minutes.

I got out of Zooey's parked car and watched as teens piled into the school. I smile and wait for Zooey to walk out. Once she does, we walk into the school linking arms and laughing.
"Zooey! Laci!" A voice said when Zooey and I got to our lockers.
I turned my head to see Dash and Sparrow walking towards us. I shut my locker and lean on my locker as Zooey runs over and kisses Dash. Sparrow rolls her eyes and comes by me. We high-five each other and then realize how lame we were.
