I am back with day 8 of Writemas!

I actually think this chapter is quite good!

And I think I am almost on track with Writemas!

So yey!

Now before I start rambling on, Let me get on with the story

Laci's POV

Derek smiled at me.

"You look very lovely today." He says.

"Why thank you my good sir." I say, curtsying. He chuckles as I walk out of my room and shut the door. As we walk down the hallway and to the front door, Zooey stops us and says, "Have fun! Be back by 11!"

"Haha, you're SO funny Zooey." I say. She giggles and walks back into her room. I look at Derek and shake my head.

"She really is protective. Isn't she."

"You can say that." I say.

"Okay then." He says, ushering me out of the front door and into the car. In the car, it was silent for awhile. Until I broke the awkwardness.

"So, where are we going?"

"It is a surprise."

"Seriously, you are going with that?"

"I mean, I was going to."

"Fine then." I say, laughing. It was silent again.

"Do you want to listen to the radio?"

"Oh, uhm sure." I say as he turns on the radio.

And what is the song that came on? Not One Direction if you were wondering, but Summer by Calvin Harris.

"Oh my god, I love this song." I say turning it up. Then I started singing along.

"When I met you in the summer." I sang as the song ended.

"And we are here!" Derek said. I look ahead and see that we were at the boardwalk that we were at yesterday.

I opened the car door and got out. Derek then ran to where I was and shut the door after me.

"I hope you don't mind that we came back here. It was just that we didn't get to go on all the rides and see a lot of it yesterday." Derek said nervously.

"Oh no, it's fine! I love carnivals!" I say smiling.

"Okay good." He says motioning his arm out. I took it as we walked to the boardwalk and started our way to the rides.

After riding 5 rides, 8 carnivals games, where Derek won me a teddy bear which we named Thomas, and carnival food later. It was 8-9 PM. I know, I know it took us 4 hours to do that, but Derek isn't great at games and the lines were long.

But now, we were on our way to the final ride. Which was the Ferris Wheel. The line this time wasn't long, surprisingly, so we were maybe 5th or 6th in line.

After waiting in the lin fore maybe 5 minutes, we were 1st in line. The guy working the ride looked at us and said, "Aw, what a cute couple."

I blushed as Derek gave him the tickets for the ride. The guy opened the door for one of the gondolas and we stepped in. Derek first and myself afterwards. We were then lifted up. Stopping each time since people were getting in the cart.

Then the wheel starting going in circles for a few times. I smiled each time we went around. But then, when we were at the top, it stopped. (I KNOW CLICHE) I kind of panicked as I thought we would be stuck there forever, but when I looked down and saw the guy looking at us and smiling, I knew this was meant to happen.

"So, I guess we are stuck up here."

"I guess so." I say sheepishly and look out at the moon, which was shining in the sea. But then was distracted by how the moon shined again Derek.

Then that was when I looked up at him and smiled. As he looked down at me and did the same. I then scooted close to him, not knowing what I was doing. I keep getting closer and closer until our bodies were right next to us.

Then, he leaned over. And I did the same. We keep inching closer and closer until,

We kissed.

Fireworks exploded in my stomach until I pulled away. I smiled up at him as I stared into his blue eyes. He then looked down at me and put his arm around my shoulder and squeezed.

But then I realized.

I kissed him.

I kissed a boy that I now know I like.

On top of a Ferris wheel.
