I walked into school after my Spring Break. You could tell how many people were exhausted by how they had to wake early, while others were happy to be back.

Myself, however, missed Australia and the heat, but it's okay. I needed to come back so I can graduate.

"Laci!" I heard Zooey's voice pop up from behind me.

"Hi Zooey!" I said and hugged her.

"So how was Australia?" She asked.

"It was good! How about France?"

"Very cultural, but pretty."

I smiled at her, "I can't believe that that was our last High School spring break."

"I know! It's outrageous!" She said.

"It's even more outrageous how we end school in a few months."

She shook her head, "It's crazy. We have all this exam stuff to study and all of that."

"Well at least Chorus exam is easy."

"True that."

"So Laci."

"So Sparrow." I said as we walked to lunch.

"How are you and Derek doing?"

"We're good! How about your love life?"

"Oh you know, nonexistent."

"You'll find someone."

"Yea yea." She said and sits down in her normal lunch space.

"Hello hello!" Zooey sings as she slips into the hallway.

"Hey Zoe." Dash says as she sits next to him.

"Hello Dash." She says and they kiss.

"PDA!" I yell out to them.

"Shut up Laci." Dash said as they stopped.

I smirked at them and popped a crisp in my mouth.

Later that lunch period, my phone started vibrating. I went into my pocket and grabbed it.

It was a text, but not an ordinary text.

A text from Faith.

Why would she text me? What is this about?

"Laci? Laci?" Sparrow said, but I didn't answer.
She snapped her fingers in front of me.

"Wait what?"

"You were staring into space, are you okay?"

"Yea, I just was thinking. I really need to go. Bye guys!" I said and grabbed my stuff as I rushed out of the room.
