A Night To Remember

Chapter 6

My eyes quickly flew open as I felt that someone is shaking me. I sat up straight as I noticed it was my mom.

"Are you okay Flame..?" My mom asked while holding my hand.
I shake my head. I wasn't really okay. My dream was so real. I'm scared not just for me but for Jake and my family, what if they will get involved in this problem,... what if they will hunt my love ones in order to get me. I cannot forgive myself if something will happened to them because of me.

I hugged my mom, afraid to let go. She pats my back and whispers comforting words to my ears. I closed my eyes, wanting to sleep in the arms of my mom and forget my dream.

The days passed in a blur and it is already Sunday. I cursed myself as I forgot to tell my mom and dad that Jake and Hailey will be coming over. I quickly send Jake a message to ask if where are they already. He replied that they are almost in the Northtank.
"Goshh,,, why am I so forgetful!" I went to look for my parents and found them in the balcony, having a deep conversation that they didn't even noticed me coming. I was about to call them when I heard my mom saying about how guilty she is, that they should tell her already but my dad shakes his head and said to my mom that they still need to wait for the perfect time.
I was curious though of who this girl was, but since I know listening to other conversation is not good so, I made a force cough to get their attention and told them about Jake and Hailey coming over and they almost arrived, they didn't even let me finished talking as they hurriedly go and prepare things.
It is almost lunch time when Jake and Hailey arrived. I was just in the house and watched them coming out from the car not able to go out because the sun is too hot. I'm glad that my parents didn't asked or forced me to go and help Hailey carry her things instead they were the one who went to them and helped. We spent our afternoon talking and reminiscing the past experiences we had here. As I looked at my parents, I saw happiness on their eyes as well as Jake and Hailey.
"Babe and ahhm... Flame, let's go watch the sunset?" Jake asked to the both of us. I smiled to Jake and nod my head.

"Is it okay babe if I will stay here and help prepare food for the dinner ?" Hailey asked Jake. Hailey loves cooking and my mom promised to teach Hailey some of her secret recipes.

"Are you sure babe!" Jake asked.

"I'm sure, babe!" She smiled. "Just go now before you'll missed the sunset" Jake gives Hailey a short kiss while I hugged my mom and dad then say goodbye to them. I asked Hailey again if she wouldn't really come but she just shook her head and hugged me then went to the kitchen to help my mom and dad.

Jake excused himself for a while he said he needs to get something in his room and asked me to wait downstairs. He came back fast with a jacket and a camera on his hand. He gave me the jacket and asked me to wear it. I am curious why he gave me the jacket. I accepted the jacket then wore it. As we are already out from the house, it's just then my mind went functioning. The sun is still up and if I don't have a jacket my skin might get burned. I gave Jake a questioning look, he just smiled at me in return. Did Jake gave me this jacket by coincidence or does he really knows something about me?
