A Night To Remember

Chapter 22

It's been a week since I've seen Jake, my parents and Zire. I blocked myself to all of them. I know they were wondering of where I am but I can't tell them  because if they'll know then my plan will be useless. For one week, I've read and studied about the witches' book which Zire gave me. I perform some of it and I'm glad that I am successful. Aside from performing the witches magic, I've researched and  practiced also the powers that Sandoval have. Hiatus has the ability to control the air, the water and the fire. For one week, I am able to control the wind and the water but the fire is the hardest. I've almost burn the kitchen. It happened when I tried to light the stove using my imagination, yes, I succeeded but the fire that came out was bigger than I thought. It didn't just lit the stove but almost the whole kitchen. I am thankful that I can already control the water so I immediately turned on the faucet and flashed with water the burning kitchen, from that day, I realized that practicing fire inside the house is not a better idea.
That incident brought me here, outside and away from the house. This will be my second day of practice in controlling the fire. I hope this will be the last because I only have four  more nights before the full moon and I still have lots of things to prepare.

In front of me is a lighted lamp while on my other side which is three meters away from me is a pile of woods. All I need to do is to light the fire woods by transferring the light in the lamp. I focus my gaze to the fire in the lamp. It moves a little because of the wind. After  a second of observing the fire, I started to move it towards the firewoods using my thoughts. I didn't have time to celebrate because the fire faded so fast. The woods remains untouchable, there's no sign of burn on it. I sigh in exasperation and kicked the lamp. I failed again.

"Flame, you should rest first. You're tired, I'm sure. You can continue it tomorrow." I watched Hailey coming over me. Yes, Hailey. I am in Hailey's place. I told her everything that happened including Jake. She promised to help me and that's why I'm here now. Upon staying in her place, I discovered more about her history. Her mother is half vampire and witch while his dad was a pure vampire but her parents aren't here, Hailey said that they are in the other country.

Hailey was one of the reason that Zire didn't found me yet because of a spell that she put in her house. I am so thankful that I came to her and ask for help. At first, I didn't know if she can help me but when she told me that she knows about magic then I grab the opportunity. When I told her about Jake, she cried almost a day. She just stopped when I told her about my plan. She's worried about my safety but she can't do anything to stop me.

"Flame, don't stress yourself out. You didn't have enough sleep and rest since you came here. Maybe, you can control the fire only if your body and mind is in a great condition." I stare at him, releasing a deep sigh again. Maybe she's right, maybe rest is all I need.

"Thank you again Hailey, Jake is so lucky to have you!" She gave me smile then we walked together inside the house.

ZIRE

I threw the glass in anger. It's been a week since I saw her. I searched for her everywhere and visit her house almost every hour just to know that she came back but without any luck, I didn't find her. I can't even mindlink her or smell her scent. It's seem that there's a big force that is blocking me to her.

What if she was captured already by Klaus Michael? What if she's dead already? What if she run away with that guy?
Damn! This is all my fault, if only I didn't gave her the book then maybe she's still her beside me. Sh*t.

I stopped thinking when I heard a knock from the door.

"Come in" I whispered angrily.

The door opened widely and Shane came in.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"I am just here to check if you are still alive." He chuckles.

I gave him a hard stare. He emmediately stopped and turn his gaze to the mess in the room. It's just then I noticed that my room is in chaos. Pieces of glasses are found everywhere, books are scattered on the floor, chairs are broken. Did I really do all of these?

"Yes, of course, it's you Zire!" He answered even if I didn't asked him. He can read my mind and I can read his.

"You can't blame me, I just wanted to release all my anger and the things in my room are the best instrument." I answered.

"Yeah, I think so," He said coyly.

"So what's the plan Zire? Are we going to attack Michael's place now or will wait until the full moon?" He asked.

"We are more stronger if it's full moon and it's the witches weakest time so yes, we will attack them on that night" I answered.

Shane nods his head in agreement.

"So do you have any clue where to find Flame?" He asked. I shook my head.

"You should go and talk to her parents again Zire. Ask them about Flame's friends. We don't know,  maybe we can find her through her friends." Shane's words awoken my senses. Yes, he got a point.

"I will find you Flame" I whispered.

"Yeah, yeah, I know you will." Shane teasingly said. He stands from the chair and went closer to me only just to pat my shoulder.

"Remember, I am with you always. I will help in finding your mate" I stayed expressionless listening to his words.

FLAME

I am already awake even before the sun rises. I felt good after having a rest. I'm hoping to have a nice result in my practice today. 

I am done doing all my morning routines and was now preparing the things needed in my practice. The firewoods from yesterday is still here but I added five more piles from the different corners. The lamp is already broken, it's okay, coz I'll not be using it anymore. Hailey said it is much good if I'll create fire by just using my imagination.

When everything is all set. I stood at the center, woods are around me. I know it's not a better idea but maybe this will help me to do good since my life is at risk.
"Do or Die" I whispered.

I observed the woods for a minute and then started to think of a fire. It didn't take long when suddenly the air around me became hot and my body temperature rises. I can feel the energy runs into my system.  I stare to a pile of firewoods at my side, intently.

Slowly, fire  starts to show, burning the woods little by little. A smile tugged on my lips as I smelt my success. I then turn my gaze to the other pile of woods, repeating the action that I did on the first one. Once again, the fire came fast and burn the fire woods.

Now, since everything is already lighted, what I needed to do now is to control the fire. I raised my hands slowly, pointing to the fire in front of me, then it suddenly became big. I pointed next the fire at my left side then followed by my right, and two at my back. The fire grows so big now. I felt so happy, the hotness that surrounds me is comforting.

"Flame! Someone is looking for you" I stopped playing with the fire when I heard Hailey's voice. I put off the fire emmediately and step over to the burning firewoods.

Who is possibly looking for me anyway? As far As I know, no one knows I'm here except for Hailey. I went closer to where Hailey is standing. Her face shows pure worry and guilt. No! This is not good. I was about to ask Hailey what happened when I suddenly smelt a wonderful smell.

"Damn" I whispered.
