A Night To Remember

Chapter 27

I panicked as I heard what Hailey said. Klaus is coming! I hurriedly pick up and carry her.I am a vampire, I have a strength that an ordinary woman don't have.

I tried to teleport us but I can't.  I suddenly remembered about the spell that Klaus put on his house. I cursed and cursed. How I can save Hailey when we can't go out from this house! We're doomed! This is not how my plan supposed to happen! I carry Hailey and went to the nearest window to try my luck if we can use it in escaping but just like what happen this morning when I tried to go out, my feet stops from moving and the force is holding my feet again. I look at Hailey to ask for a help but what I saw scared me. Her eyes are close and she's not breathing anymore!

"Hailey, Hailey! No-no... please don't die, wake up! Wake up please!" I said while shaking her body. She didn't open her eyes.

"A mouse that fell from the trap?" Klaus said sarcastically. I turn my head to look at him. He's not alone, six vampire men are following him. He cock his head to the blond man, then in an instant, Hailey's body is not in my arms anymore.

"No! Please give her back to me!" I shouted. The blond man didn't listen to my plea, he bring Hailey's body to Klaus. Klaus raised his hand near to Hailey's heart.

"Your friends heart in exchanged for your disloyalty!" He slowly put his hand to Hailey's chest.

"Noooo!" I shouted.

I watched Hailey's heart being ripped on his chest. I watched her limp body dropped on the floor. I wasn't able to save her. I felt useless. My heart broke watching her dead. She's dead! She's really dead!

My gaze slowly meet Klaus. I watched him with a determination to kill. My body is heating up. He killed Hailey and he'll pay for that.

"An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" I said devilishly.

He just gave me a smirk. A smirk the hide millions of emotion and I'm going to unleash it one by one. I'm going to let him begged for his life!

"Show to me all the power that you have Flame! Show to me how monster you are!"

With those words he said, I lunged at him, the force that holds my feet are gone maybe he freed me so that I can gave him a nice death. He was able to avoid my first attack but not on the second one. I dig my claws on his chest. His shirt is already ripped because of it. I attack and attack him but all he did was just to avoid it.

He laughed again
"Tired?" He asked.
I was about to lunged at him again when I felt pain on my left side.

"Dart?" I pull it out, I look at Klaus with a blurry vision, his smirk is what I saw before darkness consumed me.

I woke up groaning. All my limbs are in pain. I tried to raised my right hand to touch my face but stopped when I realized that I was being tied. I am outside the house, the moon is shining so bright. I can stare at it all night. I felt happy and contented just watching the moon but my happiness soon erased when I suddenly remembered everything that happened including Hailey's death and how I was being tricked by Klaus. The pain came back. It hurts to lose someone so close to your heart, she is like a sister to me.
"Jake! I'm sorry. I wasn't able to save her!" I whispered.
The tears drop slowly. I didn't hold it, I just let them fall freely from my eyes. I want to cry and cry until there's no tears left. I will kill him Hailey. I will Kim him just for you!

I scan the place that I am in. Candles are around me, dagger and glass is beside me, the book of the vampires is here as well. I put the pieces in my mind together and I came up with an answer. He's going to offer me to the darkness and will drink my blood in order for him to have power like Sandoval. Damn! So this is what his plan since then? He tricked me, he tricked us.

"I won't let him drink my blood, I will kill him first before he can touch me"

My gaze fall to the candle near me. An idea popped in my head. I can control fire so I will use fire. I focus my gaze to the candle. I should be careful if I don't want my hands and feet to get burn. The fire started to follow my eyes but stopped when I heard footsteps coming closer. Damn!

I cock my head to see Klaus and his sidekicks following him, one of it I recognized. She's the witch who came to the office of Klaus when I was talking to him about the deal.

He smirk when he noticed my expression.
"How are you?" He asked.

I didn't answer.

"You must have figured out already why I tied you right?" He asked again.

"Why?" I asked.
He laughed.
"I thought you already know but since you asked then I will tell you. Your blood can make me become a powerful vampire like Hiatus. What will I do is to offer you from the god of darkness and drink your blood. Tonight is the perfect time to do it because it's full moon wherein all the monsters are awake." He stops and laughed again.

"Thanks to you and Jake. All my plan falls into the right place" He paused. "You don't know that Jake helped me?"

I stare at him not able to believe what he is saying. Jake will never help him. Jake will never betray me.

"Yes, Jake, my son, your bestfriend, he helped me. Unbelievable right? But it's the truth.Before I died I talked to him, I told him to rise me from death once he saw the key for the power that will make us the king of all immortals and sadly it's you! He made friend with you, he let you believe that he's good when the truth was he's beyond evil. He asked a witch to help him in making me alive again and then he succeed, they succeed!" He paused.
"Do you know who is this witch that helps my son?" He asked.

I just stare at him dumbfounded.

"Hailey! She helps him because of her love towards my son. Such a fool! Knowing that Jake didn't love her back, she betrayed him, she betrayed us by helping you, she turn her back at us and chose to help you. That's why I killed her and to add some spices, I killed her in front of you! I am such an evil vampire right but wait until you see what I will do to you!"

He gets the dagger while the witch has the book, they slowly approaches me. His face is full of determination. Then another witch that I don't know the name gets the glass. Klaus is now at my side holding the dagger. The witch opens the book and turning the pages until she saw what she's looking for. She smiled to Klaus but he didn't smile back. She nods to Klaus and to the others asking them to be ready.  The witch started to read the words which I don't understand. Surprisingly, I remain calm and ready for the attack.  I watch them, they are all busy staring at the witch who reads the spell that they didn't noticed the fire that started to grow bigger and slowly approaching them.

"I will not make you win! Darkness will never win!" I shouted and with that I strike the fire towards the witch who is holding the book. She shouted in pain. The book drops on the floor. I was about to burn it when Klaus punched me in the face.

"Crazy girl!" He spat the words angrily. I whimpered in pain. He punched me again, this time his fist landed on my stomach. I coughed, the oxygen left my lungs for while.

"Let's see if you'll fight back again" He said angrily. He cock his head towards the two vampires who were standing at the doorway of the house.

"Get our gifts to her" He commanded.

The vampires hurriedly obeyed Klaus then when they came back, they are already holding my mom and dad limps body. No! I stare at Klaus with a pleading look.

"Please don't kill them! I-I will do everything you ask, I will give you my blood, j-Just don't kill them" I pleaded.
