A Night To Remember

Chapter 28

"Please Klaus, please don't kill them" I begged.

He just smile devilishly at me. I can't take it anymore if another  life will be taken.

"Don't worry they won't die if their daughter will be good to me" He said.

"Just give me what I want and I'll free them."  He added

I can't risk my parents life so I gave him a nod and just closed my eyes waiting for the dagger to slice my flesh. I heard the sound of the book being flip into pages. Klaus is the one reading the spell now, I wonder why,  maybe he's out of time or maybe he is just too desperate to own the power.

"Father, stop, please don't kill her" my eyes snap open when I heard Jakes voice.

"Lots of  interruptions."He groaned.

"Lock him" Klaus told the vampires. They immediately obeyed and hold Jake but he escaped. I didn't see Jake coming, he lunges at Klaus. Klaus loses his balance and fell to the ground. Klaus tried to stand but fell again when Jake attack him. Jake's claws landed at Klaus' face then to his stomach. Blood are oozing out from his wound. Jake groaned angrily when he saw Klaus smirking at him and didn't show any pain.

"Set Flame free now!" Jake grinned his teeth in anger.

"No! Why would I?" Klaus said.
" Son, she is the fulfillment of our dreams. She can make us become the most powerful creature in this world. That's what our plan eversince right? You agreed to me that's why you rose me from the death."

Jake's face turns into disgust when he heard Klaus calling him son.

"Yes, but that's when I haven't found her yet. Now, everything's changed. I'm not the Jake anymore that you once knew. I wanted her than how much I wanted you!" Jake said angrily.

"You are crazy! You are just blinded by your love with her. You didn't even realized that the person you admired the most have already found his mate. She didn't tell you because you are nothing to her. For her, you're just  a trash. You're Jake, the person who is full of lies, the person who betrayed her and the person that cannot be trusted!" Klaus said.

"She won't love you back!" Klaus spat. Jake was about to punch him when Klaus catch his fist mid air. Klaus didn't let go of Jake's hand this time.

"Get this person away from me. Tie him up if needed." Klaus commanded his vampires. They immediately obeyed and tied Jake to the closest tree.

I cock my head to Jake's direction.His eyes are full of emotion and one of it was sorry. I still can't believe that he was the reason why Klaus is alive. I can't believe that he lied to me, I can't believe that he made friends to me because of my blood. He lied to me for such a long time.

A loud bang from the front of the house caught our attention.

"What is that?" Klaus asked to the witches. The witches shakes their head. Klaus sniffs the air and cursed, he looks at me for a while then left. They all followed Klaus, living me and Jake alone.
We're are still being tied.
I don't know who made those noises but I'm thankful because they gave me the chance to escape.

I immediately started to burn the ties using the fire from the candle.
I'm free! I hurriedly went to my parents and untied them. They are still unconcious. I carry them and lay them under the tree. I made sure that they won't be seen easily.

The sounds of explosion still continues. Whimpers, cries and shouts can be heard clearly. My attention went to Jake when he called my name. I didn't  untie him yet, my mind is still debating what to do.

"Flame, I don't have any excuses, what I did was wrong. I betrayed you! This is all my fault Flame, if only I didn't make Klaus come to life again then I'm sure you're happy with your life now. I'm sorry, I-I am so greedy for powers that I didn't realized that I destroyed you already. Trust me Flame, I regretted it so much. I tried to convince Klaus to change the plan but he didn't listen to me, that's the reason  why I turn my back at him. I didn't take part any of his plan anymore since the day I admitted that I was falling for you."
