A Night To Remember

Chapter 20

" How are you? He whispered. 

I can't find a  word to speak. Until now, I am still feeling guilty for what I did.

"I-I'm fine.." I stuttered.

"Look at me Flame!" I slowly moved my gaze to him.

"Sorry Zire!" I told him sincerely.

"You don't need to say sorry about it. I did it in my own will, I did it to help you. Just remember that you're a vampire now, you needed blood as much as how you needed food when your human." I turned confused when he suddenly smirk at me.

" Unless if you want to drink my blood again then I would not hesitate to offer mine to you"

Okay! Now he's back on his own self. I put my hands into his chest to pushed him out but stopped when I suddenly feel a tingling sensation on my neck where his mark is. I looked at him confused.

"Oh! I forgot to tell you! Now that you've drank my blood and I've drank yours then our connection became more  
stronger and intimate."

I stare at him gaping. WTF!

"Stop cussing Flame, it's not good" He added.

"Damn Zire! I've told you already to stopped reading my mind.. " I snapped.

"I can't help it...... " He said shrugging. 

I'm sure that I'm not going to win with him.

"Okay fine, so starting from this day, hour, minute and second I'll block you in my mind.... it means you can't invade my thoughts anymore" I smiled triumphantly. But my smile faded once I remembered the reason why I'm here. The days got more shorter and I need to act fast. If Zire wouldn't help me in finding Jake then I need to look for someone who will help me and I'm sure that it will take more time. I looked at Zire...  What should I do so that he'll help me? He's my only hope.

"Flame?" "Zire" We said in unison.
"May I?" He asked. I nodded in reply.

"The reason why I came here is also to say sorry for what happened yesterday. I-I wasn't able to control myself. I just hate it so much that my mate shows so much concern about some guy." He said

"He's not just any other guy Zire. His my friend, bestfriend to be exact." I added.

"Yes I know, that is why I'm here to say sorry and to tell you also that I'll help."

I gasped in surprised.
"Thank you" I breathe.

"Let's go to my study room. Hurry! Before I'll change my mind." I quickly followed him. He opened the door in his study room and signaled me to get inside. I shut the door and sat on the chair.

"Wait here" He said to me before disappearing into the big shelves of books.

"Mom, Dad and Jake... I'll help you... I promise you that" I said to myself mentally.

"Flame, here it is" I turn my head to his direction. He's bringing a book.

"Inside this book Flame are the magics, curses and spells that the witches uses. You can find it here also the magic that will help you in finding your friend." He hesitantly gave it to me.

"Just be careful" I nodded my head. I gave him a hug. A nice sensation erupted in our body once our skin touched. I fight myself not to give up on the sensation. He hugs me back and kissed my hair. I know he find it hard to let go too because his hold got more tight. I fake coughed and it caught his attention. He released me but we're still standing closed to each other.

"You need to go to a place which is peaceful and no distractions because the magic will not work if you're mind is in a mess." I nodded my head and utters thank you to him. I stepped backward and readied myself for the teleportation. I closed my eyes and began thinking of my favorite place which is the park near the lake.

"Shane please come to my study room now!" I mentally contacted him.

In just a matter of seconds, the door opened and Shane came in.

"Shane! How's your job doin? "  I asked. This time my voice is full of authority.

"Bad news Zire, Klaus Michael's tomb was being opened."

"What!" I yelled. Flame is in danger. Damn! I need to find her before Klaus will.

"How and when did it happened?" I asked.

"I don't know if it's just a coincidence Zire, but the tomb was being opened the day after you've mark Flame"

"And we just knew it now!" I shouted.

I punched the table hard. This is all my fault. If only I've stopped myself from marking Flame then she might not be in danger now and Klaus will still be dead by now.

"It's not a coincidence Shane, you know that" I didn't hide my anger. I can feel my canines against my lower lip and I'm sure my eyes are all black now. I'm angry to myself for being so unworthy piece of shit....

"I know they're just waiting for the perfect timing Shane and I gave them that. Maybe they already knew that there spell against Hiatus' bloodline will be broken on that night. The night that I've  marked Flame and I'm so dumb of not knowing it."

Shane stares at me in disbelief. I know he didn't expect this to happen in just a short period of time. Shane and I shares the same anger towards Klaus Michael because he was the one who killed our parents. Eventhough decades have been passed but until now, I can still feel the pain that Klaus gave to us. Klaus Michael was my father's second in command and his best friend at the same time. My father trusted him very much, gave him everything he wanted including the power. My father let Klaus rule the Northside of our territory and Shane's father on the Southern part but years passed, Klaus became more greedy for power and position. He formed an alliance with the witches and vampires who are in a low class. They attacked our kingdom while everybody was asleep and that night also Shane's parents was there, they visited my parents. I can't do anything on that time. I was still eleven years old and don't have any idea how to fight. I just hid myself and watch my parents die.
Because of that attack, many vampires died and that was the end of my bloodlines rulership. Then, Klaus Michael became the leader of the vampires. But Klaus Michael's leadership just lasted only a half century because me and Shane killed him. We take avenged by our parents death. We killed him with no mercy but the question that keeps on lingering in my mind is why he's alive now.

"Damn those witches!" I grind my teeth in anger.

"Warn the others Shane....tell them to be ready for a big and bloody fight" I said.

Shane nods his head.
"How about Flame, what should we do" He asked.

"We will look for her as soon as possible." I answered.
