Song: Beauty and The Beast- Celine Dion
"Helloooooo? Earth to Molly!" Evan snapped his fingers in front of my face, and as I returned to reality, I smacked his hand away, rolling my eyes. He smirked as he moved the chairs off the tables and onto the floor. "Daydreaming about lover boy?"
I shot him a glare, and he laughed. "It's alright, Molls. It's good to see you happy."
I finally smiled before walking back to the kitchen. I grabbed a sanitizer towel and began wiping off the tables. As I finished up, Evan grabbed my shoulders, making me face him.
"But just so we're clear, Lana and I are the Godparents of Talia."
I raised my eyebrow. "Talia?"
"Your and Wes' future daughter, duh. The one that we predicted to enter the world in nine months."
He busted out laughing again, and I rolled my eyes, glaring daggers through him. Ever since Wes' party, he's been making that joke-- most of the time to my face, but when Wes was around, he would still make it discreetly, and truthfully... I wanted to choke him out for trying to put the idea in Wes' head when we were both still in school.
"You know what? Just for that, you get to finish the end-of-the-day chores."
Evan groaned, slumping down on one of the chairs as he threw his arm over his eyes. "Please spare me. I hate those damn jobs."
I stuck my tongue out at him, and he glared before returning to the kitchen. I never pushed my manager position on people, and I had never planned on acting superior to any of my coworkers-- especially Evan-- but it was fun to tease him. And considering all the baby jokes he had been making because he was so convinced Wes and I were going to have a kid that year... Well, paybacks are a bitch, aren't they?
"Doors open in five minutes!" I hollered so all of my coworkers were aware, and just as I started to open the doors, a delivery man walked towards me, holding a bouquet of tiger lilies.
"Hello, I'm supposed to deliver these to Molly Clarke?"
"That's me." He smiled as he handed me the bouquet, and I thanked him before breathing in the scent, smiling widely. They were my favorite flowers.
"I see lover boy is upping his game." Evan winked as he opened the doors, and I rolled my eyes, but nothing could hide the smile on my face.
"Yeah." I held the flowers in my arms, blushing. "He's pretty amazing."

"I asked for an extra lemon, and there's only one in this drink." Someone yelled from one of the booths on the left side, and I walked around the corner to see Evan standing in front of the table, looking uncomfortable as the woman glared at him.
"Ma'am, I'll get you another lemon. Is there anything else you need?"
She rolled her eyes. "I want to speak to the manager."
"I'm the manager." I stated as I stood beside Evan, patting his shoulder reassuringly. I didn't understand why people had to be so demanding and rude, especially to servers. I had been a waitress before I was a manager, and I knew how hard the job could be. Everyone made mistakes, but it still made me upset how inconsiderate people acted. But I had to be professional, so I smiled at the girl. "How can I help you?"
She stared at me in disgust before smirking. "Well, if it isn't little Molly Clarke. I heard Wes is your boyfriend now, but I'm curious... How much did you pay him to be in a relationship with you?"
My skin grew hot as my teeth grinded together, but I remained calm and shot her a fake smile back. "Ma'am, I'm here to help you. What's the problem?"
The girl was one of Katie's minions when we were in high school. She had always been rude to me, copying everything Katie did to me, and that day at the restaurant, I wanted so badly to pummel her to the ground for everything she did to me, but since I was the manager, I had to be kind. Trust me, it was a task.
"Your waiter here can't seem to do his job competently."
"He's doing his best, ma'am. We're very busy today, and he offered to get you another lemon. Is that what you would like?"
She sarcastically laughed as she stood up, glaring intently at me. "You still think you're all that, huh? Let me tell you, Molly, you never were and you still aren't. As far as I'm concerned, you can't do your job right either."
She grabbed her drink and poured it over my head before storming out of the restaurant. I gasped as the cool drink seeped through my shirt, ice cubes sliding down my spine, and the whole restaurant grew silent. Evan stared in shock before leading me to the kitchen, and he helped me clean up while I tried to wipe the sticky soda off of me. Since it had already made its way into my shirt, my torso was sticky, and my blouse was stuck to my skin, but there was nothing I could do until I went home.
To say that day was rough was an understatement.

As I walked through the doors of the house after a long day at work, Wes stood there waiting. He slowly walked towards me, planting a long, gentle kiss against my lips. When we pulled away, he hugged me tightly, and even though I had a horrible day, his hug made everything seem okay.
"Evan texted me and said you had a rough day, so I got a bath running for you." He led me to the staircase, and before I walked to the bathroom, he smiled softly. "And when you're finished, you and I are having a movie night."
I smiled before giving him a soft kiss and entering the bathroom. When I opened the door, the smile grew on my face until it felt like my face would crack. Candles were lit up around the tub, and roses floated on the water. He had my favorite playlist playing too.
I was one lucky girl.
After taking the most relaxing bath of my life, I changed into a comfy pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt. I walked into the living room to find Wes laying on a blanket on the floor. On the table in front of him was two bowls of vanilla ice cream topped with hot fudge, sprinkles, and a giant cookie sitting in between them with two chocolate milkshakes.
"That table looks like diabetes." I mumbled, my jaw dropping, and Wes smirked, pulling me onto the blanket with him.
"Well then, I guess it's our lucky night."
Wes winked at me before pressing play on the TV, and I wrapped my arms around his waist. "What are we watching?"
"It's a surprise." He whispered, kissing my temple, and I rolled my eyes as the commercials played. Soon, the starting credits appeared, and my heart filled with warmth.
He had picked my favorite movie-- Beauty and The Beast.
"Wes!" I squealed, wrapping my arms around his neck. "This is my favorite!"
He chuckled. "I know. That's why I picked it."
As the movie started, we ate our ice cream and drank our milkshakes. I always cried at the same part, and when I started crying that night, Wes tightened his arms around me as he kissed my forehead.
"I love when you get all over-emotional."
I playfully hit his chest as I rolled my eyes. "I do not get over-emotional.This is the saddest part of the movie!"
He laughed again, but then we grew silent as the movie continued. Towards the end, my eyes slowly drifted close, and eventually I fell asleep, my head resting against Wes' chest. The last thing I remembered was his lips against my forehead as he whispered, "Goodnight, my beauty. I love you."
