Asriel X Chara (An Undertale FF)

Buttercups

I relive everything, but this time, I didn't take Asriel's hand.

I was sleeping when Asriel woke me up.

"Chara, wake up." He whispers while shaking me.

"What do you want Asriel? I'm trying to sleep."

"I wanted to bake a pie for dad since he's always stressed being King and all."

"Ok. We can do that." I say getting up.

We go to the kitchen and look at the recipe. We gather all the ingredients.

"Wait we forgot one." Asriel says reading over the recipe.

"What is it?" I ask looking over his shoulder. "Buttercups, I'll go get some." I say going to the gardens.

I pick a couple flowers then head back to the kitchen. We start cooking.

We finally finish when Asgore wakes up.

"Dad, dad! We made you a pie!" Asriel and I say in unison.

"For me? How sweet." He says sitting down.

Asriel and I bring him a slice of pie and a cup of tea. He silently eats the pie and drinks his tea.

Instantly after he finishes the pie he starts coughing, a lot.

"Uh...Asriel, what do we do?" I ask.

"Mom!!" He runs to Toriel's room.

Toriel wakes up and helps Asgore. "Gorey, what happened?" She asks.

He doesn't answer so I answer for him. "We made a pie for him."

Toriel quickly takes Asgore to bed to rest. When she comes back she has a lot of questions. "What did you put in it?" She asks.

Asriel starts crying.

I start listing off the ingredients. "Oh and we put Buttercups in it too."

Toriel's eye go wide. "Children, Buttercups are poisonous! Why would you put Buttercups in a pie?"

Asriel's starts crying even more.

I'm at a loss of words. We poisoned dad. "I-is he go-going to get be-better?"

"I don't know. But don't ever do anything without an adult by your side!" She's really mad now. She gets up and walks to Asgore's room.

"We killed dad!" Asriel sobs.

"No we didn't. We just made a mistake." I try to make him feel better.

I take him to our room to calm down.

After a couple hours of crying, Asriel is fine.

"7 human souls to break it, a human soul absorbed by a monster soul to cross it." I recite.

"Ye-yeah. What about i-it?" Asriel asks.

"If we can get a monster to absorb my soul, they can cross the barrier and get 7 more. Then we can all be free. Maybe we can find better medicine for dad."

"Yeah but if a monster absorbs your soul, I won't get to see you again." Asriel says in a sad voice.

"Not if you absorb my soul." I say looking at Asriel.

"I mean, maybe it might work. I just want dad to be better and for all monsters to be free."

"Ok. Then let's do it." I say getting up and walking to the gardens. Asriel follows.

I pick some Buttercups and sit down. Asriel's sits close.

"We can't let mom and dad know."
