Asriel X Chara (An Undertale FF)

Finally Awake

I wake up.

The last thing I can remember is getting the worst pain in my chest and collapsing.

Frisk is holding my hand. When she sees me get up she gets tears in her eyes and hugs me gently.

I try and say something but my voice hurts.

At the foot of the bed is Asriel and Gaster yelling at each other.

"Uh Asriel?" Frisk says trying to get his attention.

"Not now Frisk." He puts a hand up to Frisk. " I need to see Chara, Gaster."

"We're working on it." Gaster says.

"She's not going to be ok! It's been months!"

"Asriel!" Frisk yells.

"Not now Fri-" When he turns to look at Frisk his eyes go wide. He smiles and hugs me.

"Ow ow ow!" My body hurts so bad.

He lets go. "Sorry, it's just been so long."

"How long was I out for?" My voice sounds horrible from the pain.

"I don't care! Your awake." Asriel smiles.

I look over at Gaster. He looks so amazed that I'm awake. I must have been out for a long time.

"Dr. G-Gaster!" Alphys yells running upstairs. "I've g-got it!"

She doesn't even notice that I'm awake.

"What is it Alphys?" Gaster asks.

She gestures for him to follow her. They walk downstairs.

"How are you feeling?" Frisk asks.

"Like death. Everything hurts. I can barely talk." I answer.

"Just relax. Hopefully Alphys has something for you. I can't believe your awake." Asriel says.

"Am I gonna die?" As soon as I said it I regret it. I just can't get it off my mind. If Gaster and Alphys haven't come up with anything to help me after months, I don't know if they ever will.

Asriel and Frisk look at each other and back at me.

"I-I don't know." Asriel says.

"No, don't think like that. You're going to be fine." Frisk says. I love her positivity.

My chest starts hurting again. "Ugh...ow." I put my hand on my chest.

Asriel jumps up to help me but there's nothing he can do.

The pain slowly eases. "I'm not ok."

No one says anything. They know I'm not ok.

"We can't risk that Alphys. It's unstable." Gaster says coming upstairs.

"Y-yes, b-but it could w-work." Alphys says following close behind.

What are they talking about?

"Chara, we'll need to run some tests. Asriel, Frisk, you may come back when we're finished." Gaster says.

"We'll see you later." Asriel kisses my forehead and leaves with Frisk.

Tests? What kinda of tests?

I fell asleep while they were working.

When I wake up I feel a little light headed.

I look at my arm. A thin needle is in it with a tube taking some blood. Alphys is holding it steady.

"S-stay st-still." She says.

"What is this for?" I ask.

"Y-y-your s-soul."

I guess it makes sense. My blood could help my soul.

She takes out the needle and tells me to drink some water.

I lay back down and look up at the ceiling. "I'm going to be just fine. There's nothing to worry about." I tell myself.
