A New Timeline?

After snapping on Frisk and Asriel I felt like a horrible friend and girlfriend. Even though they forgave me I still feel a little guilty.

Trying to get it off my mind I go for a walk. I walk out of the Ruins and into Snowdin. A good walk will always help get something off my mind.

I was walking through Waterfall and across a wooden bridge. I guess I wasn't looking where I was going because I tripped and fell off the edge.

I manage to grab onto the bridge. My feet dangling off the edge freaked me out.

I couldn't fall. I couldn't reset. I've come way to far to start over.

I start pulling myself up. I scraped my hands, elbows, and knees but at least I'm still alive.

Exhausted, I start walking back home. I take one step and Moldsmal appears out of no where.

I trip over him and fall off the edge once again. But this time I didn't save myself.

I expected to keep falling and turn into my younger self but I just saw blackness.

Was I dead? Did I not reset? Where am I? Questions running through my head.

I felt nothing.

I start seeing light. It gets closer and closer. I wake up. I'm in the patch of golden flowers I fell onto when I first fell down here.

I wasn't the one falling, Frisk was. She is a lot younger now. I felt her Determination. That's what woke me up. Somehow, I'm dead

This must be another timeline or something.

Frisk starts walking. I follow her.

We walk through a door at the end of the hallway. A little yellow flower is the only thing in the room.

Frisk walks up to it. "Howdy, I'm Flowey, Flowey the flower. You're new to the Underground aren't cha? Golly, you must be so confused. Someone ought to teach you how things work around here. I guess little old me will have to do. Ready? Here we go."

Flowey doesn't seem like a trustworthy monster. He does remind me a little bit of Asriel. The way he talks.

"See that heart? That is your SOUL. The very culmination of your being. Your SOUL will start off weak but can grow if you gain a lot of LV. What's LV stand for? Why, LOVE of course. You want some LOVE don't you? Don't worry I'll share some with you."

"I don't think that's a good idea Frisk. Don't trust him." I tell Frisk.

"Down here LOVE is shared through little white..."friendliness pellets." Are you ready? Move around, get as many as you can."

"Frisk dodge them." I tell Frisk.

She dodges all the "friendliness pellets" Flowey throws at her.

"Hey buddy, you missed them. Let's try again, okay?"

"How about no." I say to Frisk.

He throws more pellets at Frisk. She dodges them again.

"Is this a joke? Are you brain dead? RUN. INTO. THE. BULLETS!!!" Flowey yells. He throws even more attacks at Frisk.

"Ha I knew it! I knew you couldn't be trusted you little rat!" I yell and point to Flowey. He couldn't hear me though. Only Frisk can hear me.

"You know what's going on here, don't you? You just wanted to see me suffer." He surrounds Frisk in bullets. "DIE."

"No!" I yell and take control of Frisk. I start moving around trying to find a way out.

They get closer and closer. The evil look on Flowey's face, I can't stand it.

As the bullets almost kill Frisk they disappear. And a ball of flames hits Flowey, throwing him across the room.

Toriel walks up to us. "What a terrible creature, torturing such a poor, innocent youth...Do not be afraid, my child. I am Toriel, caretaker of the Ruins."

"Do you ever stop talking?" I ask crossing my arms. I guess I'm a ghost now.

After Toriel finished rambling she takes us into the Ruins. We come across puzzles that are super easy yet Toriel does them for us. She says they're "To dangerous."

We finally get to her house which is where me, Asriel and Frisk live. At least, used to live.

After a good night sleep we walk into the living room and see Toriel reading. "Up already, I see? I want you to know how glad I am to have you here. There are so many old books I want to share. I want to show you my favorite bug-hunting spot. I've also prepared a curriculum for you're education."

"Seriously can you stop talking? I wanna find out why I'm here and go home." I say.

Toriel finally stops talking about her and asks about us.

"Oh, did you want something? What is it?"

"When can I go home." Frisk says.

"What? This...this IS your home now. Um...would you like to hear about this book I am reading? It is called "72 Uses for Snails." How about it?"

"How do I exit the Ruins?" Frisk asks.

"Um...How about an exciting snail fact? Did you know that snails...Make terrible shoelaces? Interesting."

"How do I get out of the Ruins?" Frisk asks once more.

I'm very annoyed now and just want to get out of here.

"...I have to do something. Stay here." Toriel says and walks away.

"Follow her." I tell Frisk.

"You wish to know how to return "home," do you not? Ahead of us lies the end of the Ruins. A one-way exit to the rest of the underground. I am going to destroy it. No one will ever be able to leave again."

"No! You can't do that!" I yell.

Frisk follows Toriel.

"Every human that falls down here meets the same fate. I have seen it again and again. They come. They leave. They die. You naive child...If you leave the Ruins...They...Asgore...Will kill you. I am only protecting you, do you understand? ...go to your room."

Toriel keeps walking. Me and Frisk stop. How could Agore kill me? I'm basically his second child. He loves Frisk too. Me and Frisk catch up to her.

"Do not try to stop me. This is your final warning."

We still follow her.

"You want to leave so badly? Hmp. You are just like the others. There is only one solution to this. Prove yourself...Prove to me you are strong enough to survive." Toriel blocks the way.

"Fine then. Frisk, fight." I tell Frisk.

She runs at Toriel and strikes her down in one hit.

"Y...you...really hate me that much? Now I know who I was protecting by keeping you here. Not you...But them! Ha...ha..." Toriel says and disintegrates into a pile of dust.

No mercy. If this is what I have to do to get home. I'll do it.

I've gotten some comments that filled me with Determination so I decided to continue this story. It's taking me a lot longer to write then expected so I might not updating daily. I'll try my absolute hardest to update daily. Good things happen to those who wait. I have big plans for the upcoming chapters. I hope you'll stick around to see what happens.
