Asriel X Chara (An Undertale FF)

To Busy to Breathe

It's been almost two years now.

It's so nice to have everyone take a break for once in their life.

Except Asriel.

His workload has only increased over the past year.

He's been on his laptop and his phone and going to meetings with the scientists and the Royal guard nonstop.

He haven't left his room since he woke up. Which was hours ago.

Today has been really boring. I thought Asriel was going to do something other then work, but no.

Frisk and I have been hanging out in her room.

"He never stops. I feel like he doesn't sleep because he's to busy working." I say.

"Just leave him be. Surely he will stop. Maybe..." Frisk replies.

"We usually spend so much time together but it's almost like he forgot about me."

"He didn't forget about you. He's just busy and has his mind set on work."

"We haven't really had a full conversation since last year."

"Well...um..."

Then Asriel walks into Frisk's room. "Hey Frisk, can I borrow your laptop? Mine just died and my phone is charging."

"Of course. I think I left it in Snowdin. I won't take long." She says and runs out the door.

"Your laptop died because you haven't stopped using it. You can take a break ya know." I say.

"It's easier to get it all done while I can other then procrastinate." He says.

"I get that but it's almost like you forgot about me. We haven't talked in a while."

"I have bigger things to do then waste my time doing nothing."

"So I'm just a waste of time?!"

"Well I don't have time to be spending watching stupid movies and listening to awful music."

"Ok where is this hostility coming from?"

"I'm not being hostile I'm speaking the truth."

I take a deep breath trying not to scream at him. Is he really saying this?

Frisk comes up behind him and hands him her laptop.

"Thanks Frisk." He says and walks off.

"I think I'm going to go for a walk." I tell Frisk.

"I'll come with you. There's nothing better to do."

We start walking through the Ruins.

We get to Waterfall where all of the echo flowers are.

Every one of them is saying a conversation  that Asriel and I had or cute things he said to me.

"Are you crying?" Frisk asks.

I feel my checks. My fingertips are stained with tears. I quickly wipe the tears from my face. "No." I answer.

"Yes you are. Why are you sad?"

"I'm fine."

"Don't bundle up your feelings, because one day you'll snap."

Memories of Asriel flood my head. I know we're still together but I hate when we fight.

I stop and flop onto the ground, crying into my hands.

Frisk sits next to me and rubs my back. "Why are you crying?"

I point to the echo flowers.

"Is it something they said?"

I nod. "It's what Asriel has said to me. Passing conversations and compliments." I say through tears.

"Chara, he's not neglecting you. He just has a lot on his plate."

"It's not that. When you left to get your laptop, we got into a stupid fight. He called me a waste of time."

"That's very unlike him to say something like that."

"I don't know what to do or what to say. He's never acted like this."

"We should just leave him be. Let him come to you. I'm sure he'll come around."

I calm down and stand up.

We walk back home.
