Frisk is Always Right

The break up hit me hard. I never expected us to ever break up.

It's been about a week and I'm still not over it.

Asriel doesn't talk to me or look at me at all.

He's not fazed that we broke up.

He went out for the morning so is just me and Frisk for now.

I walk into the kitchen and see Frisk typing on her phone.

She looks up. "Good morning Chara."

I smile.

Frisk looks at me and notices that something is on my mind. "You haven't been acting like your usual self lately. Is there something you want to talk about?"

"I'm fine really."

"I can see it on your face. You have something on your mind."

I haven't told her yet and I don't want to talk about it right now.

My eyes start getting misty with memories of Asriel.

Tears start rolling down my face.

"Aww Chara. What's wrong?" Frisk takes my hands.

"Asriel broke up with me." I trap her in a bear hug.

"When did this happen?"

"A week ago."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I don't know. I needed some time to myself."

"Why would he break up with you?"

"He said I was getting in his way. I just don't know why we broke up over something so stupid." I let go of her.

"I thought you two were really serious. Nothing could get between you."

"I thought so too. I thought we were gonna make it to the surface together and get married and start a family, but I guess not."

"Aw Chara you're gonna make me cry."

"I can't help it." I start crying even more.

"Calm down. Sshhh."

I take a couple deep breaths. "I'm ok."

"You just need to tell him how you feel. It'll make you feel better."

"He won't listen. He doesn't like me anymore. I just have to get over that."

"Chara, don't think like that."

"It's true. He's the one that ended our relationship. He's not going to care how I feel."

"Just try and talk to him, for me."

I look at the floor not promising anything.

"I'm going to go out today. I don't have to if you still want to talk."

I shake my head. "I'll be fine."

"I gotta go then. Call me if you need anything."

"Yeah."

Frisk leaves and I go back to my room.

Hours roll by and I finally get my mind off of Asriel.

*Riing*

I pick up my phone.

"Heya. Can you get here fast?" Sans asks.

"Yeah, what's up?"

"Uh...not important. Just, do you think you could get here."

"Uh, yeah. I'm on my way."

That was super weird.

I grab my belt and a jacket and start jogging through the Ruins.

I knock on Sans' front door.

He answers and let's me in.

"What happened?" I ask Sans.

"Nothing." Frisk answers. "We just wanted you to get here fast."

"Uh, ok."

My eyes drift to the stairs. Asriel is sitting right in the middle of them.

"What is he doing here?" I asks and cross my arms.

"You guys have to work this out. I hate that you're upset," Sans says and points to me. "And I hate that you're the one who made her feel that way." He points to Asriel.

"I don't want to talk to someone who thinks I'm a waste of time."

Asriel doesn't say anything.

"Please Chara. Just talk to him." Frisk says.

"I've said what I wanted. I'm going home." I starts opening the door.

"Oh no you don't." Sans puts his magic glow around my hand and drags me back inside.

"You two are going to work this out." Frisk demands.

I roll my eyes and cross my arms again.

"Chara, I'm sorry." Asriel says. "I was overwhelmed, stressed and really tired at the time. I never meant to hurt you."

I look him up and down. "Then why did you hurt me?"

"I wasn't thinking straight. I had a lot on my mind. I should've never said what I did."

Asriel gets up and takes a step towards me.

"Everyday was so hard knowing that you were still upset with me. I want to be together again Chara. I love you and I never stopped. I completely understand if you don't want to since I was a jerk. I just hope we can still be frien-"

"Shut up and kiss me!" I grab his collar and pull him into a kiss.

Frisk let's out a tiny squeal of joy.

"Are we good now?" Asriel asks.

"No. I still hate you." I smile and kiss him again.

Once we let go I turn to Frisk. She has her arms crossed and a smile on her face.

"I told you so. All you needed to do was talk." She says.

"Get dunked on Chara." Sans says.
