Lydia's POV:
I finally got home tired than ever. See , what I had to go through today , is enough reason for me to spend the rest of the day watching T.V series , eating food that will probably cause me some health problems in the future , and hate on Alec Lightwood.
And indeed, that's what I did.
I woke up the next morning and officially decided that going to work on foot is not my thing.
And for that, I made myself a warm cup of coffee, grabbed my keys and hit the road in my decent car.
But as we all know, life . And how it goes .
I was on my way to work driving peacefully until my car started making noises, I quickly parked on the side of the road and climbed out to figure out what happened.
It was only a few seconds until I remembered that I knew literally nothing about cars, so I just tried to start the car again, but the car sputtered. Again, but it sputtered. Again, again, and again. But nothing.
That's when gave up and hit the steering wheel with my both hands, then laid my head on it.
I was confused and I didn't know what to do, or maybe I was too tired to even try to figure out something that could get me out of this situation.
I climbed out of the car and laid against the front door, standing there like a confused dolphin ,waiting for a miracle to happen.
"Need help ?" I looked up and met the last person I wanted to see today, yet I wasn't surprised at all. I shook my head and looked away.
"Oh come on look at you," Alec Damn Lightwood said, enjoying the situation.
His large black BMW pulled attention to us, and made him look like a businessman, as if he wasn't already.
"Don't you even dare talk to me," I said not bothering to look at him.
"Okay let me correct myself," he cleared his throat then gave le his best forced smile. "Do you need any help there ?" He looked up at me.
"Do I look like I need help?" I said then remembered that I do look like I need help. I shook my head.
"Just go. You probably have an important meeting to attend so you won't lose your career or something." I replied.
"Listen," His tone is now serious. "I can drive you to your work if you want to."
"How charming. Yeah no you can go I will find a way. Plus how did you even know that I'm heading to work ?" I asked.
He pointed to the stack of papers I was holding. I stood there for a moment then turned around and started walking down the sidewalk.
He started following me ,with his car, slowly, annoying me, then said, "I'm not taking a no for answer."
My cheeks flushed with anger and I shut my eyes and shook it then kept walking, just ignore him, just ignore him. I kept on repeating to myself.
"Oh come on, I'm offering help." He said. "So you're just going to ignore me ? Alright." It was only a second until I started hearing the beeping sound. I turned around and saw him pressing the car horn.
"What the hell do you think you're doing ?" I shouted. "Stop it !"
"Are you going to get in or not ?" He stopped pressing the horn now.
"Not," I said and he started pressing the horn again, non stop.
"You cannot be serious! Stop it! What are you like 12 !? " I said as I watched the people who most of them were focusing on us, annoyed. They probably think we're freaks.
