Lydia and Alec were sitting in the living room with Lydia's mom facing them, "So anyone wants to tell me how you guys seem to know each other ?" Meredith finally said, her tone nervous.

"Well to be clear, mother I know the whole story." Lydia tried to explain, her mother raised her eyebrow waiting for a clear answer. "I mean, I know about you and Chris, Alec's father. And how you two used to know each other."

"Oh," Meredith seemed surprised and Lydia noticed that her mom felt a bit embarassed but she couldn't figure out why.

"And I still don't know why you didn't share with me such an important story," Lydia added disappointed. Since Chris have told her about him and her mother, she couldn't stop thinking about it. She never found a proper reason why her mom wouldn't tell her probably the most important story of her life.

When she was a teenager, Lydia considered her mother as her bestfriend. They both trusted each other and her mother always believed that Lydia was mature enough as she always told her. That's why Lydia always thought her mother was telling her everything that she has gone through in her life.

But now, she seems to have skipped an important detail of her life.

Alec cleared his throat so Lydia dropped her gaze on him, "I dont mean to interrupt but Lydia, care to share why we're actually  here ?"

"Uh, um. . Yeah," Lydia took a moment to put a proper sentence together. "Alec has an amnesia, he basically forgot the first ten years of his life."

"Oh, I'm very sad to hear that." Meredith said.

"Yeah but that's not the point," Lydia passed her fingers through her ginger hair then continued, "Alec once came to my place and I had this frame- a picture of me and Dylan when were kids-"

"Lydia, how about you skip that part and hop right into it ?"

"Alec Lightwood and Dylan Williams are the same person," Lydia quickly said.

"I didn't expect you to go that far," Alec mocked.

"What ?" Lydia's mom didn't seem to understand what her daughter was saying, she was looking at her like she was some freak.

"Okay," Alec finally said then he started explaining the whole story to Meredith. She just listened carefully trying to understand as much as she could from this whole complicated situation.

"So Dylan and I seem to be the same person," Alec finally announced.

Meredith sat in her place for a moment, she seemed to be lost in her thoughts and it was a moment until she finally stood up and said, "Oh my dear Dylan, come here give me a hug. I can't believe you're alive, you have no idea how much we missed you."

Lydia gave Alec a -get your ass up and hug her- look and indeed he did, not excited about it but at least he stood up and he even hugged her back.

Lydia was surprised that he actually did so.

Meredith sat back in her place then added, "Well you became so handsome." She complimented.

"Thank you," Alec smiled.

"Okay so mother," Lydia crossed her hands. "Do you know where does Ale-Dylan's real family live now?"

Meredith gave Lydia a pity look, then looked down at the floor.

"What is it?" Alec asked.

"Well," Meredith said, her tone sad,"Your father did die after the accident you and your family had,"

Lydia looked at Alec, he was staring at Meredith non-stop, but surprisingly, he shook it off so quickly as if nothing happend, then asked, "Okay..where's the rest of my family then ?"
