Lydia was out of the hospital with a broken arm and of course, a plaster. Luckily, the doctor said that she'll get rid of it in two weeks.
First day at home, Lydia spent it with Wren hanging around and watching movies. The second day, Wren had to go to work and Lydia had to stay home alone since she won't go to work for two weeks.
Lydia waited to Alec to show up impatiently and annoy the shit out of her but he didn't. He also hasn't called or texted her since the last she was him in the hospital. She was starting to overthink it and ask herself why he hasn't shown up yet. They're basically somewhere close to friends now. Right ?
She spent the rest laying in her bed and reading books to distract herself yet it wasn't working. She couldn't stop thinking about Alec. Maybe something happened to him ?
Maybe he's pissed off at her for some reason ?
Maybe he doesn't want to see her ?
"Ugh," Lydia snapped then stepped out of her bed and looked for her phone.
She called Alec not even thinking about what she'd say to him. She waited to hear his voice on the other line but she didn't, because he didn't pick up.
Okay, maybe he's at work. She tried to convince herself.
Or maybe he doesn't want to talk to you. Her subconscious mocked her.
No. Why would he ? She thought to herself.
Lydia finally ended up watching movies for the whole day until the night fell and she fell asleep on the sofa in an uncomfortable position. Alec drifted in her dreams as usual, she has been dreaming about him since their journey to Yellowsprings and Florida together.
"Alec," She muttered under her breath while she was sleeping. He was standing in the middle of a huge garden and he was picking flowers for her.
That's an Alec we only see in dreams.

"He hasn't called me since two days Wren, and today is the third." Lydia said.
"Well maybe he's busy, just call him." Wren answered on the other line.
"I did ! But he didn't pick up." Lydia said, ashamed.
"Well call him again,"
"No, he'll think I'm interested in him or some shit." Lydia rested her head on the sofa.
"Well are you ?" Wren asked.
"No ! Hell not !" Lydia denied.
"Well I don't think so personnaly. For the last two days, you've only been speaking about Alec. I swear you have said his name at least one hundred times in an hour yesterday." Wren said.
"What the hell ? I did not." Lydia said shaking her head.
"Yes you did." Wren insisted.
"No I did not, you know what whatever. I don't care if he calls or not. You go and do your work. I'm just going to lay here and watch movies for the whole day long as usual." Lydia said.
"Okay as you want boo," Wren said in a sweet tone, giggling then Lydia hung up the phone.
She then crossed her legs and sat on the couch with a sad face. She rested her cheek on her palm then, unconsciously started replaying everytime she saw Alec scenes in her head; and especially when he was laughing.
Lydia immediately shook her head pushing her thoughts away when she absorbed what she was thinking.
She turned on the TV to distract herself a bit, she laid back as she flipped between the channels until she finally found a movie that seemed good.
