You were with me at my lowest moment. You stood by my side, never faltering. You were there in my highest point, encouraging me and cheering in my corner.
When I say your letter, it knocked the breath right out of me. Because everything you wrote had such truth in it, you know? The way your words flowed on the page, so simple and powerful. Understanding and passionate. And it was all true.
We've been avoiding our feelings for how many years now? It's not even a matter of 'if' anymore, it's a matter of 'when?' When will one of us explode, letting our inner thoughts rip out. Well, I suppose you were braver. You gave me the letter first.
Phil Lester, there's something about you that charms people. I think it's your smile. Or your ability to see the good in everyone. Even the worst people have some good aspects to you, and that characteristic is the most amazing thing about you. I didn't fall in love with you because you were good-looking (though you are ;)) or have a lot of wit. Not because you were charming or clever. But because you had that one gift that differentiates you. And I love that about you. Actually, no, that's what drew me to you. I slowly and surely began to fall deeply in love with everything about you. The way you sometimes stick your tongue our when you laugh or smile. And your strange obsessions with buying houseplants. Your dark hair and your blue eyes. You stupid puns. You carefree and loving nature.
God Phil, I don't even remember what I'm trying to tell you.
Okay, here's the gist of it. Thank you. Thank you for telling me how you truly felt. And I'm so sorry it's taken this long for us both to admit what we had been keeping inside.
I love you Phil. I basically owe my life to you. I'd be nowhere if you weren't by my side. Don't ever leave my side, because you are my better half.

Dan licked the envelop and slid it under Phil's door. Phil was currently out with his parents and would see the letter when he got back. But Dan couldn't wait two hours. How could he? Dan took out his phone and opened twitter. His heart pounding as he typed.
