prepare for angst :)

Dan felt something he hadn't in forever, Phil's hand on his shoulder, comforting him with a  single gesture. He looked up to see the man he hadn't in forever.

"P-Phil.." Dan whispered. His eyes glossed over with warm tears. Phil, worldessly, pulled him up to his height and wrapped his arms tightly around Dan. Dan melted into the warm embrace, letting himself cry into his lover's shoulder.

"I missed you," Phil whispered, his voice breaking mid-sentence. Trying again, he repeated. "I missed you."

"Phil," Dan mumbled into Phil's neck, peppering it with tiny kisses. "Why'd you leave me? Never leave me."

Distressed dripping from every syllable, Phil whisper-shouted "Do you think I wanted to? I'd never hurt you like that Dan, I love you too much to do that. Never forget that, Dan. I love you. I would never intenionally hurt you. Please, never forget that." Phil put a two hands on Dan's shoulder, pulling him away from the hug to look him straight in the eye.

The sight of Phil, tears streaming down his pale cheeks, pain contorting his features. Not pain...heartbreak. You could see the heartbreak in his face. Silently, Phil placed a hand over his heart, still keeping his left hand firmly down on Dan's shoulder.

Then, he put the same hand over Dan's heart.

The action was without any sound, yet it screamed.

Vaguely, Dan wondered if Phil could feel the love Dan held for the man in his heartbeat. He hoped he could, he wanted his actions to speak just as loud as Phil's.

Phil dropped to his knees, now clucthing his heart again. Wind swirled around the boy, throwing his hair around so it whirled with the strong breeze.

Scared, Dan tried to go to Phil, but there was something restraining him from doing so.

"PHIL!" He screamed, reaching his hands towards the black-haired boy. He hated the sight. Phil was screeching, tears, no longer of joy or sadness...tears of pain, were falling from his blue eyes. He looked so beatmed down. "PHIL NO!

Dan shot out of bed and turned his head to Phil's side of the bed.

That's when he felt yet another pieces of his heart shatter away. To join the millions of other ripped out pieces. Phil's side of the bed was empty.

It had been for three months now.

Burying his head in his hands, Dan could feel the familiar sobs wracking his entire body. Curling his knees to his chest, Dan cried.

He cried for Phil, his true love who died too soon.

He cried for himself, selfish, but true.

He cried for their family, their small family of, now, two. Chloe would have to grow up with one dad instead of the two she deserved.

He cried for the pain he knew Phil beared during his death.

They were all tears for one: his fallen angel.

His lover.

His Phil.
