I lay in my bed with the note in my hand. I studied the note carefully. The handwriting, the words... Who could it be from? I just didn't know yet. So far there were no clues at all. I called Brienna.
"Brienna! There's something I need to tell you," I whispered through my phone.
"It's 2AM in the morning Ally! What do you need to tell me?" Brienna groaned.
"Oh come on Brienna. It's the weekends tomorrow. There's still plenty more time to rest! Anyway, I uhh..." I started to feel uncomfortable telling her.
"What is it?" She cut me off.
"I got a note," I replied awkwardly.
"What about it?" She asked with a yawn.
"It's a Love note. Someone put it in my locker. You seriously need to keep this a secret, even from Nick, alright?" I divulged.
At this point of time Brienna became wide awake.
"Tell me more!" She squeaked.
"I'm tired Brienna. I'll tell you more tomorrow. Meet me at my house at 2PM since it's Saturday tomorrow," I said sleepily.
"Alright," she agreed and I hung up. With that, I fell asleep.
- Next Morning -
I put the note on my study table and let Brienna have a look while I head down to get us some water and candy. When I came back up, I notice her taking a piece of paper from the stacked papers on my table - mainly used for studying purposes - and took down some stuff.
"What are you doing?" I asked curiously, eyeing her every move.
"Trying to figure out who wrote this obviously," she pulled up a chair and sat down, continuing with her work.
I let her do her thing and I sat on my bed, took my laptop and surf the internet. It was not until 2 hours later that Brienna started to talk.
"Ally! Ally, omg listen to me!" She screamed excitedly as I slowly take my eyes off the screen of my laptop.
"What?" I asked grumpily, feeling tired after doing well, nothing besides surfing the internet all day.
"I think I may know who it's from. I don't think you'll believe me anyway." She added.
"Well?" I replied.
"I think it's from Alfie! It's from Alfie!" Brienna pat herself on her shoulder, signaling to me she did a good job of finding out who it's from.
I laughed it off, and she joined, unaware of what I'm laughing about.
"Stop assuming Brienna. You're so funny at making up this kind of stuff," I said sarcastically.
"Ally. I'm not kidding about this one."
My smile dropped as I thought about her last sentence and the seriousness in her face.
