As days go by, Brienna's been ignoring me. She acknowledged me with a faint smile, but other than that, nothing. Nothing else. I tried to make a conversation with her. Wouldn't it be a waste of time? But I'm desperate. I want my friend back. I want my only friend back. Jessica and her minions bullying me? It doesn't matter anymore, or does it? That's when I lose it. On Thursday morning, Jessica came to my locker where I already was, and was about to open her mouth when I lose it.
"Jessica, I sure as hell don't know what your plan is for today but stop it. I ignored Alfie, did I? He seems to forget about me too. You're happy now aren't you? So why can't you stop bullying me? My life has been miserable and you, stop making it worse. See these scars, it wouldn't be there if I was happy. I'm not now, can't you tell? And that's what you wanted. For me to be unhappy. Well guess what? I'm not happy. Congratulations. You've succeeded. Now leave," I stared into her emerald eyes.
She didn't say a word. She blinked twice and then just like that, she left. As she leave, her ponytails bounced up and down and her heels clicked to the floor with every step she takes. It's over. It finally is.
How I thought it is. But it isn't.
The next day on Friday I walked gloomily to my locker and took my books for the day. I went to the washroom and just as I was about to go out, I met with Jessica and her minions. One of them spotted me first and told Jessica about it. This is not going to end up good.
"Look who we have here," Jessica said with her fake sweet voice.
I took the courage to leave but two of her minions had protected the door.
Oh no.
"Let her go," a voice uttered behind Jessica.
I was completely surprised. Who could it be? Her slim figure and long legs, and her wavy hair with her fringe put up to one side. It was Brienna.
"I said let her go."
Jessica looked at me and mouthed 'It's not over yet' before leaving with her friends, or should I call minions.
"B-b-brienna! I thought you hated me," I finally spoke when they left.
"Hey. You're my friend, how can I ever leave you alone? Is Jessica bullying you all this while? Of course I hated you for a while but then I realized this isn't going to go on forever so I spent days searching up about depression. You know, it's time for me to get to know you better," She said with a huge smile imprinted on her face.
No wonder she had eye bags this past few days. Oh I really love her. She's so going to be my best friend.
"About that Jessica thing, it's normal. Come on let's go to class," I replied just as the bell rings.
Turns out Brienna is a true friend. She's the best, really. So now we're friends again but secretly, I'm still unhappy about Jessica. What does she want from me? She became fearless and a well-known bully.
I've been closer to Brienna and Nick as days go by but I never really ever talk to Alfie again. He's the past, you know? Got to let go of it.
