Epilogue

I smiled as I looked at the album in my hands. Darien and Angel Kat had sent us to a private island in the Mediterranean for our honeymoon. One where we were the only ones besides the people serving us the whole time. When they planned a honeymoon, they really did plan it for us.

Arms wrapped around me from behind and I knew Darius was home from work. I had taken some time off today. The last assignment we received hadn’t played out like we wanted to. The child was in a coma from being beaten nearly to death. An abusive father stole his son from his ex-wife.

“Are you feeling better?” He asked into my ear.

I smiled looking up at him. “Much better with my husband here.”

He smiled walking around and easily lifting me up to slid under me. “That is still something I am getting used to.”

I leaned my head on his shoulder. “Definitely getting used to it.”

    “Anyone stop by today?”

I nodded. “Peter and Mark. Keith would have if he wasn’t sick right now. I sent some soup with Peter for Keith.”

    “How’s Mark?”

“Adjusting. He still finds it weird that I’m married and he’s an available bachelor.”

Darius chuckled and his chest rumbled with it. “He’ll find someone in time. But that’s what he needs, time.”

I nodded knowing what he said was right. I felt it in my guilt like I do with all my oracle things. My hypersensitive intuition as the guys have called it. Whenever we didn’t need a drawing, they’d just ask me what I feel and I would always be right.

Darius flipped the page and laughed. It was a picture of his stark white arse naked on the sand. He was on his stomach so you just saw is white rear-end mostly. Not a stitch of his manhood.

“Now that is an awesome picture of a happy man on his honeymoon.” And in moon, he was referring to his rear.

We fell in fits of laughter feeling blissfully happy. How could we not? We had each other. And that’s how it will stay if I had anything to say about it.
