I paced the station. I was worried. Derek and Alex weren't back yet. I was afraid of the results. I was afraid that they'd come back and tell me that the male victim was my dad.
"Mel, calm down." Spencer said, trying to get me to stop.
"How can I calm down?" I asked. "What if the male victim is dad? My child will never know their grandfather and I'll have lost both parents. Spencer, I can't go through that."
"Melanie." he said and grabbed my arms. "Look at me." I looked into his brown eyes. "Your dad is fine. Okay?"
I nodded.
"I wanna hear you say it."
"Dad's okay." I mumbled.
"What?"
"Dad's okay." I said louder.
"One more time."
"Spencer." I said. He smiled at me and gave me a quick kiss, which was broken apart by Derek entering the room. I quickly pulled away from Spencer and raced up to him. "So?"
"So what?" he asked.
"The autopsies." I continued. "H-How were they?"
"We found out who the victims are. The female's name is Fiona. She had most the damage. She was shot many times, but wasn't actually killed until the UnSub shot her in the head. Looks like she was the target of her rage."
"What about the male?" I asked.
"His names Sean."
My heart fell. No.
"Sean Gregory."
I let out a sigh of relief. Thank God.
"He was only shot once. Killed instantly." he continued. "Why you wanna know? Missing your old job?"
I sarcastically laughed and walked off.
"It's not dad." I told Spencer. "I'm so happy."
"Do we have any names?" he asked.
"Fiona no last name and Sean Gregory." I said. "Call Garcia and tell her those names. She might be able to find them and our killer."
"Alright."
He went off to call Penelope. I sat against the table and let the relief wash over me. Dad was okay. The baby was gonna have two grandfathers. This was perfect. I'm so happy.
I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turned to see an elderly looking man with large glasses just resting on his nose. He was tall, as tall as Spencer maybe.
"Can I help you?" I asked.
"Are you the FBI?" he asked. I nodded. "I'm Barry Robinson. I was Fiona's doctor. Derek White told me that you were investigating the case of her murder."
"We are." I said. "Did you come to talk?"
"I did."
"Follow me Dr. Robinson."
I led him to the office and closed the door behind us. Dr. Robinson seemed to be shaking, like he was nervous. That makes sense. Who wouldn't be nervous if you were about to rat out a killer, if that's what you were doing.
"Sir, you don't have to be nervous." I said.
"I'm not. I'm just worried about Fiona's family." he said. "They've been through a lot."
I sat down across from him that the table.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Fiona was in an abusive relationship." he explained. "Her family tried to convince her to leave, but she always said she had what was coming to her. She'd come to me with bruises and cuts and even a broken bone. She said she fell or something happened. It wasn't until her father came in that I found out the truth."
"When did she leave this man?"
"2 years ago. I hadn't seen her in a while and when I finally did see her again, she told me that she was engaged to a man named Sean."
"Sean Gregory?"
"Yes! That's him."
"Thank you for your time Dr. Robinson." I said and stood up. "You've helped us a lot."
"You're welcome."
I exited the office and quickly went to Uncle Aaron. I told him what Dr. Robinson told me. We quickly gathered the team and called Penelope.
"Penny G here. What's the sitch?" she asked.
"Have you been looking through the Fiona's in New York?" I asked.
"Yes I have and it's a lot of them. Even with Dr. Robinson to narrow it down, it's still about 40 matches."
"See how many we're engaged to a Sean Gregory and how many we're abused by ex-boyfriends for years." Derek said.
We heard typing and Garcia said, "We got a match. Her name was Fiona Jackson."
"What was her boyfriend's name?" I asked.
"Looking. Looking. Okay, here it is. His name was Logan. He and Fiona were dating for about a year before she started showing up to Dr. Robinson's with cuts and bruises. Two years after they started dating, they got in a fight and he pushed her, causing her to fall down the stairs. She told her parents it was her fault. It took her four years to leave him."
"Any family members' houses he might be hiding at?"
"No. His parents passed away three years ago."
"Where are they buried?" Uncle Aaron asked.
"I'll send the address to your phones-"
"No need, Garcia. I know this place like the back of my hand. Just tell us where it is and I'll lead us." I said.
Penelope gave us the name and we were off. We pulled on our bulletproof vests and jumped in the SUVs. I drove one and Uncle Aaron drove the other with me in the lead. We pulled up to the graveyard and quickly got out. With our guns drawn, we entered.
We looked at each gravesite, looking for Logan's parents. That's when Derek called out.
"Found a body!"
We rushed to see a body lying face down on a gravesite for a Gerald and Jenna Davidson. Derek reached down and flipped the body over so we could see his lifeless face.
"That's Logan alright." Sergeant Bennett said.

On the jet, I got a call from my dad.
"Hello?" I said.
"Melanie? Is everything okay? You called me twice. I'm sorry I didn't answer, my phone was at Mary's. I heard about that shooting. Were you in town for that?" dad asked all at once.
"Calm down dad. Yeah, I was in town. I called to make sure you were okay. It's all fine, the UnSub killed himself." I said. "It's all fine."
"Okay. That's good." dad said. "I'm sorry if I gave you a fright."
"It's fine" I said. "Dad?"
"Yes honey?"
"I love you."
"I love you, too, Melanie."
*You didn't actually think I'd kill Sean, did you?? Haha*
