Chapter Twenty One

"How about this one?" Mayumi asked holding up a white bikini with light blue strips.

"No way." Karasu said making an 'X' formation with her arms in front of her. Mayumi let out a sigh putting the swimsuit back on the rack.

"Why don't you pick one out then, Hm?"

"Don't you need to find one too, Yumi?"

"Yes but I need to help you find something to wear. Besides, do you have cloths for the upcoming summer?"

"Yeah, sure I do, but I think I could get some more." Mayumi nodded as she skimmed through the rack of swimsuits.

"What color do you want?"

"Black, red or navy blue." Karasu said not really paying attention as she looked at her phone. It was only 3:15 in the afternoon, they've been looking at bathing suits since 11:34 that morning.

"Yumi, can't we get something to eat? I'm hungry~" Karasu whined to her older sister by five years.

"We'll eat when we get to the pool, besides they probably have some of the food cooked by now. Now, pick something or I'll find something for you."

"Fine." Rolling her eyes as she boringly looked through many different colors and style swimsuits but none caught her eye.

"I'm going to look for some clothes, you go ahead and pick it out, Yumi." Karasu heard a sigh as she walked to the other side of the store and picked out two Capri pants and skinny jeans, three yoga pants, three short shorts and a few crop tops and tank tops.

"Come on, Karasu! The guys called and said they're waiting on us to show up." Mayumi said walking up to her grabbing her wrist heading towards the cashier. It didn't take long for them to get to Mayumi's car and driving off. After a couple of minutes they finally arrived at the pool that was filled with adults, teens and little kids running around, eating or taking to one another.

"Come on, the house is this way." She heard Mayumi call out to her, looking away she followed her sister to a nice looking house. Unlocking the door, Mayumi walked inside carrying her bags along with Karasu behind her.

"Does my mom live alone here?"

"No, your brothers and I live here with her. Hotaru and Hikaru share a room on the left side of the house." Karasu followed the blond haired woman to the right side of the house to see two doors. Mayumi opened the left side door entering the room.

"This is my room, your mother sleeps next door. Get dressed, everyone wants to see you."

"Great." Karasu faked cheered causing Mayumi to roll her eyes. After placing her bags on the bed Mayumi tossed a red and black bakini at her pushing her towards the bathroom.

"Be quick too. I'm sure your friends are on their way here." Karasu rolled her eyes closing the bathroom door as she started undressing. A few minutes later she came out in her bikini as Mayumi finished putting on a muscle shirt and shorts over her white and blue bikini. Karasu took out her new clothes from the bag putting on a pair of ripped blue jean short shorts, a white tank top and her vans.

"Here, put your hair up, it's going to get hot later on today." Mayumi said handing her a black rubberband.

"Thanks." Karasu said putting her hair up in a messy bun as she followed her sister out the room and out the house. On their way the saw a group of people standing just outside the pool gate, as they grew closer Karasu noticed a handfull of them had a tattoo of a black dragon including her older brother Hotaru.

"Great, just what we needed." Mayumi grumbled.

"Who are they?"

"They're in the yakuza. The only way you can tell is from their dragon tattoos."

"Hotaru is apart of the yakuza too?"

"He wasn't apart of it that is until your mother started getting sick. That was two years ago. Don't tell Yuki, I'm sure Hotaru will get out soon."

"Yakuza just don't let anyone leave, Mayumi."

"I know."

"I'm going to get him." Karasu said walking off towards the group of men.

"Karasu! Get back here!" She heard Mayumi call out to her but she didn't listen. This wasn't going to be the last time she's going to see these guys around her family and she just hoped her brother would get out before everything goes bad.

"Hey, Hotaru! What are you doing out here?" She called out to her brother who quickly turned around with a panicked look in his eyes.

"Karasu, go find mother and stay with her."

"Huh? Why? Oh, I get it! You think I'm going to embarrass you in front of your friends huh?" She was toying with him and he knew that.

"Hey, Hotaru. Who is this girl?"

"She's pretty cute."

"How about we leave this party and go have some fun." One of the men said placing his hand on her shoulder.

"Fun? What kind of fun? We can have fun here." Karasu said with a smile flipping the guy onto his back her right foot pressed against his thoat as she had his hand in a wrist lock.

"See? I had fun didn't you?" She asked looking at the man before removing her foot and letting go of his hand, she stood beside Hotaru with a smile that promised pain.

"Guys, this is Karasu Nishi. My baby sister." He said standing in front of her.

"Hi! Nice to meet you people of the yakuza."

"Karasu!" Turning around she saw Mayumi standing at the sidewalk next to a red van seeing Tatara, Anna and a few others getting out the van.

"Looks like HOMRA came." Hotaru said.

"Mom did invite them after all. I better get going or they might get me." Karasu said walking away from her brother.
