Chapter Thirty Eight

July 29th – Friday Morning

It was finally the day. It was finally Karasu's birthday which was more special considering it was her first brithday celebrating with the Red Clan. It was around eleven-thirty in the morning when Tatara and Anna went upstairs to wake the sleeping couple in the room.

Standing in front of the door Tatara opened it with one hand as the other held a camera ready to take pictures of the happy couple. It was neither confirmed or denied that Mikoto and Karasu were together, yet it was fun it pock fun at them whenever the King never let his Queen leave his side making the brunette face flush a bright red at the actions.

Slowly, inching the door wider as they both walked into the dark room heading over to the bed to find Karasu hugging the highly dangerous red-haired man as he laid beside her.

"Do you need something?" Mikoto spoke opening his eyes looking at the two intruders that entered the lions den.

"It's time to come downstairs. Izumo and the others are ready to go. We're just waiting on you two." Mikoto let out a grunt.

"Alright." Tatara smiled, just as he and Anna walked out he took a picture before closing the door rushing downstairs. The man let out an irritated sigh before turning over facing the sleeping woman next time him.

"What was he talking about, Mikoto?"

"Hurry and get ready." He said told her.

"Hm? Why?"

"Get ready." Karasu letting out a yawn moving away from him stretching her arms above her head before crawling out of bed heading to the bathroom. Just as she was closing the door a hand stopped it.

"Oh, no. You are not coming in here you got that?!" Mikoto just smirked seeing her trying to close the bathroom door but no such luck.

"It's faster this way." He pushed the door open with ease.

"And we won't get out until two hours later because of you." She glared at him as he closed the door behind him. He leans down, his lips lightly brushed against her ear.

"You liked it." He leaned back a smirk appeared seeing her mouth opening and closing as her face turned a bright red.

"Suoh! Y-you stupid idiot!!"

"Izumo wear are we going?" She looked up at the blonde that sat beside her. Izumo just smiled patting her head making her sigh.

"I can't tell you otherwise it won't be a surprise, Kara."

"Are we going to the beach? Huh? Are we going there, Izumo?!" The blonde chuckled at her questions.

"I suppose there's no use in hiding it from you, but yes, we're going to the beach."

"I can't wait to get there!"

"Settle down, we still have time until we get there."

"Why couldn't we drive there? Was it because you wanted to take the train?"

"Heh, I need to relax while I can before we arrive."

"I guess so seeing that Yata and the others are coming with us. It's going to be fun." She smiled.

"Hey, Karasu."

"Yeah?" She turned around in her seat to see Yata and Tatara seating behind her and Izumo.

"What do you want to do when we get there?"

"Go to the beach! That's where we're going first!"

"Awe~! Look how adorable you are, little sister!" Tatara spoke as he held up his camera recording her.

"I thought I hid that from you!"

"Anna told me where you were hiding it."

"Eh?!" Turnin around in her seat facing forward she saw that Anna was watching with a smile.

"Okay, Totsuka. Give me the camera." He just smiled handing the recorder over to the brunette, turning the camera lenses at Anna who ducked down in her seat.

"Anna~!" Karasu stood up recording Anna trying to hide inside of Mikoto's jacket.

"What are you doing?" Mikoto looked up, a cigeratte hanging from his lips, he frowned seeing the all to familiar recorder in her hands.

"Lion, say something to the camera."

"Put that thing down."

"So mean." She pouted putting the recorder away abut not before pocking his cheek catching it on camera.

"Here Tatara." She returned his recorder back to him taking her seat beside Izumo as he read a magazine with a cigeratte in hand. Anna looked at the brunette.

"Anna?"

"Story."

"Well, I did bring two books with me.." She grabbed her bag from the floor taking out two book showing them to the white haired child. She pointed to the book in her right hand.

"Cinderella it is. Come over here Anna." Anna got up from her seat walking around heading straight to the brunette. Karasu picked her up setting her down on her lap before opening the book to the first page.

"You ready, Anna?"

"Yes." With a nod Karasu started reading the first page of the book hoping it would pass the time quickly.
