Chapter Forty One

August 5th – Friday Afternoon

At a local high school teenagers are eating their lunches as well as the teachers. Well, all except one. Karasu was in the nurses office looking through her bag searching for something.

"Ugh, I forgot my lunch today." She whined resting her head on her work desk.

"Knock knock, miss Totsuka." Turning her head to the side seeing two of the students standing at the door.

"Takana? Sachigo? What are you two boys doing here? Shouldn't you both be in class?" She asked sitting up. They smiled raising up their hands that held their lunches.

"It's lunch time, miss Totsuka." Sachigo said.

"We thought that it would be okay to eat here for today." Takana said as he and Sachigo sat on a bed as they opened their bento lunches.

"That's nice, but I'm afraid I forgot my lunch today." She pouted. They continued to talk when they heard a knock on the door.

"Come on in!" The door opened as another teacher stood at the door with a sly smile.

"Miss Kushina.."

"Is something wrong, Honami? Did another student get in a fight again? Geez, even though these are only summer classes doesn't mean they can just–"

"Oh, no! There's no fight, Karasu. It's just that someone is here to drop something off." She covered her mouth with her hands.

"Someone like who?" She asked even though she had a feeling on who it is.

"Your boyfriend! I didn't know Suoh dated." Karasu covered her mouth with her hand to stop from laughing when she saw Mikoto step out from behind the wall with an irritated look.

"Tsk."

"Aww, such a carrying boyfriend you are, Mikoto." He glared at the icy blue eyed woman seeing her eyes shining as she walked over to him.

"Thank you for bringing my lunch. I thought I was going to starve." She took the bento from his hand, standing on the tip of her toes Karasu placed a kiss on his lips. Honami watched the couple with a grin.

"Such a cute couple. Who would've known someone would come along to tame you Suoh." Honami smiled as Mikoto narrowed his eyes at his former teacher. Karasu smiled as Honami teased the red haired man.

"Takana. Sachigo. Head back to class, the bell is going to ring in a few minutes." Honami said turning to the two boys.

"Huh? The bell doesn't ring until twenty minutes from now." Sachigo said.

"Come on you two. Class is about to start soon. See you two later." Honami spoke pushing the two boys out the nurses office and closing the door behind her. Karasu waved the three of them off before closing the door.

"Are they one of them?"

"One of who?" Karasu asked as she opened her food.

"The ones who hit on you."

"Oh, that. Yeah, those two are apart of the group." Mikoto clicked his tongue laying down on one of the beds, his arms folded underneath his head as he closed his eyes.

"They don't mean any harm, lion. Really, that don't."

"I don't like them." She turned her chair around looking at the man on the bed.

"You're jealous." She stated. A smirk appearing on her lips when he opened his eyes to glare at her.

"Don't you worry about a thing. I won't leave you for someone younger, Suoh." She snickered before taking a bite of meat.

"Idiot."

"Your the idiot worrying over nothing, Mikoto." She told him.

"Why would I go for high school boys when I have you? Stupid lion." She stood up walking to the bed taking a seat beside him. Mikoto watched her, feeling her fingertips lightly trace his face, his lips, his jawline before she cupped his cheek.

"I love you and only you. I don't really care about any other guy." She smiled at him placing her index finger in the center of his forehead. He raised an eyebrow.

"Say it back."

"No."

"Say it."

"Hell no."

"Say. It. Now." She glared at him. He smirked.

"I take it back. I'll just go find Takana and Sachigo." He frowned while she smirked.

"Mine." He yanked her down onto the bed laying beside him.

"Say it." She said.

"No."

"And why not?"

"I said so, that's why."

"Just say it already or you won't get anything for your birthday. I mean it Suoh."

"Damn woman." She just smiled resting her head on his arm.

"Love you."

"Whatever shorty."

"I'm not short!"
