August 8th – Monday Afternoon

"Lion~! Your birthday is coming up soon. What do you wanna do?" Karasu asked from her spot on the floor looking over at the man that sat on the couch behind her. He opened his eyes starring at her.

"Nothing."

"Huh? Why not?"

"It's nothing special. It's just any other day."

"It's your birthday though. Izumo you guys don't even celebrate Mikoto's birthday?" The blonde smiled at the brunette.

"He doesn't want to. All he does is go out for a walk for an hour or two and drinks until morning. That's about it." Karasu huffed hearing this. She turned her head looking at the coffee table seeing her phone going off.

"Hello?" She answered. Karasu hummed getting to her feet. She ran her fingers through her hair letting out a sigh.

"Okay. I'll be over soon." The call ended. She quickly rushed upstairs to put on her shoes, grabbing her bag she rushed back downstairs.

"What's the rush?" Izumo asked.

"There was a huge fight at Shizume High, so they called me and another nurse that had off today." She turned facing Mikoto who raised an eyebrow when she glared at him.

"It turns out one of your boys got into a fight with a few students at the school. So your coming with me, Suoh." She grabbed ahold of his hand pulling him up to stand. He yawned drapping his arm over her shoulder pulling her along with him walking out the bar.

*~*

"Will you stop moving around?" Karasu snapped. She tried to clean off a cut on one of the students had gotten from the fight.

"It stings!" The boy cried out.

"That just means it's working, now, stop moving around so much."

"... Fine..." She chuckled causing the young high school boy to blush as she tended to the cut located on his shoulder. As she cleaned it with rubbing alcohol she healed most of it before placing medicine and covering it up.

"There. You shouldn't be in to much pain since it wasn't that deep. It may leave a scar once it's healed." Karasu spoke as she started cleaning her desk of supplies.

"Your free to go home now, I'm sure your parents are worried about you." She said.

"Yeah, I guess so. You're coming back on Wednesday, miss Totsuka?"

"Yes, that's right. I'll be working at Ashinaka high tomorrow." She turned facing the boy that hadn't moved.

"Come on, I'll walk you out." She smiled grabbing her bag. Walking out the door seeing Mikoto leaning against the wall as the others stood not to far from him. She noticed how his eyes narrowed at the boy behind her.

"Mikoto." He moved his eyes at her.

"What is it?"

"Let's go home." She smiled at her red haired boyfriend. Karasu turned around walking ahead as she spoke with the high schooler about his wounds. Mikoto just sighed as she walked off ahead of him with a student. Karasu waved off the boy who went in a opposite direction.

"See you on Wednesday! Do your homework!" The boy just nodded waving his hand before disappearing once he turned the corner. Karasu turned around facing they boys that cowered behind their King upon seeing the glared she gave them.

"What were you boys thinking when you got in the fight, eh?" They said nothing that was even words as they were stumbling on their words. She sighed running her hand through her hair.

"Geez... I'm heading over to the market. Go on home, I'll be there soon enough." She said going off on her own.

"Go back to the bar." Mikoto simply spoke before walking off following the brunette.

"Right." The four members of HOMRA turned leaving their King alone as he went after his Queen.

It was a little over twenty minutes after she had left Mikoto and the others at the enterance of the school to head over towards the market. Half an hour later she had bought enough food for herself and the overs. Of course, she bought a few more book she could read and for Anna as well. Upon reaching the market enterance she saw a familiar red head leaning against a brick wall, a cigeratte loosely hanging from his lips. A sigh excaped her mouth, a soft smile graced her lips nearing the man.

"Mikoto." Fiery amber clashed with icy blue.

"I'm ready to go." Karasu said lifting up a bag for him. Mikoto pushed himself off the wall walking over to her, taking the bag out of her hand.

"Don't go off on your own." He simply told her. She nods.

"Okay. Let's go home." She grabbed his free hand walking down the street.
