Chapter Twenty Nine

June 1st - Wednesday Morning

"It's been five days since the fight. When will she wake up?" Tatara questioned.

"She lost a lot of blood and she had to calm Mikoto down from his rage. That took up most of her energy just to calm him down." Izumo explained sitting on the sofa next to Tatara. Anna laid next to Karasu on the bed as Mikoto slept in the chair that he pulled up to the side of the bed.

"Was it okay to leave King here over night? I mean, the Gold King would stop by any minute."

"That's why we're here if something happens, but I doudt we'll be able to stop two Kings from fighting."

"Karasu could."

"That's true and I believe they wouldn't fight here in the hospital where she is staying." Tatara nodded as he remembered his ride to the hospital, Mayumi had explained that Karasu had lost a lot of blood and that the lung that Kaibara punctured while he had been stabbing her had taken in blood. Karasu had managed to heal the wounds, including where the lung was punctured.

"At least you both have the same blood type. Mayumi said she didn't match and it would've taken longer if you didn't give blood."

"I'll do anything for Karasu just as much as the next person." Izumo smiled nodding his head.

"Yeah, you're right." There was a soft knock on the door before it opened showing Mayumi walking in the room with Yuki and a few others.

"Good morning you two, you brought Anna this time. Maybe you could take the lion back to his den next time? Karasu won't get attacked by wild animals here." She crossed her arms with a smirk when she was Mikoto's eye twitch before opening them.

"I can see now how they are related. They like picking on King." Tatara whispered to Izumo.

"I doudt he would leave without Kara." Yuki shook her head clearly amused at the banter, walking over to the bed sitting at the foot of the bed.

"Zuzu! Tara!" Yuzuki rushed over to them with a smile.

"Hello there, Yuzuki. How are you feeling?" Izumo asked the girl.

"I feel fine now that I'm back home with mommy and daddy." She smiled before climbing onto the bed, the shifting had caused Anna to wake up looking down at Karasu before her eyes went to Mikoto.

"Yes, we're grateful for you and your friends for helping Karasu get Yuzuki back." Etsuko said.

"It's no problem at all really. There's no need to thank us."

"You know she's doing just fine and if I keep bugging her she'll wake up, right sis?" Karasu groaned, wrapping her arms around both Anna and Yuzuki rolling onto her side facing the amber eyed man.

"Go away, you're making a lot of noise." She mumbled with a smile.

"How long have you been awake?" Karasu released the girls from her arms sitting up rubbing her eyes.

"Since yesterday." She covered her mouth yawning.

"How are you feeling?" Karasu blinked a few times.

"I'm okay, I guess. I feel a bit woozy from the morphine but other then that I'm just great." She laughed.

"That's good."

"Ow!" Karasu held her head after getting punched on her head by two fists. Tatara flinched.

"That's the second time you two abused me in this hospital! That needs to stop!"

"Only if you stop being so reckless! Do you know how worried everyone was? You idiot."

"They're right. Mikoto wouldn't leave your side only to eat and change." Mayumi spoke up as she checked over Karasu.
