July 23rd – Saturday Morning
Karasu laid on the couch, her head resting on Mikoto's lap as his slept leaning against the couch. Anna laid on top of the brunette sleeping as the woman underneath her ran her finger though her snow white hair.
"I thought today was going to be sunny." Karasu spoke.
"Don't sweat it, everything will work out in the end." Tatara said as he also laid on the couch across from them.
"I wanted to go to the park today."
"You can deal with a few rainy days, Kara." Izumo said from behind the bar.
"How long is it going to rain, again?"
"Three more days until the rain stops. In fact, the rain should be lighten up sooner or later."
"Ah, let's hope it will clear up before the end of the month." Karasu yawned straching her arms out above her head. Anna opened her red eyes looking up at the brunette.
"Why'd you say that? Is there anything special coming up?"
"Well..."
"Her birthday is coming up." Anna told them.
"Really? When?"
"The twenty-ninth of July."
"And you decided not to tell us until now?!"
"You didn't ask." She spoke as of it was not important, she looked up at the ceiling with a bored look.
"You're turning nineteen, right Kara?"
"Yeah, but it's nothing really. It's just another day like any other."
"Really? Don't you celabrate your birthday?"
"Yeah, but that was when I was still living with the Gold King. My birthday was the day where I would go outside and wonder around Shizume City but..."
"What?"
"Munakata had to watch over me to make sure I don't run off somewhere. It got on my nerves since he became the Blue King." Karasu grumbled.
"What do you want to do for your special day?"
"I wanna go to the beach!" She told them sitting up with a huge smile, Anna fell onto her lap.
"I always wanted to go to the beach and a festival."
"Really? That's all you want to do for your birthday?"
"Yeah. That's the only two things left on my list."
"List? You made a list?" Karasu nodded her head.
"Yes. It only had a few things I wanted to do when I got a freedom. Going to the beach and a festival are the last two things I wanted to see."
"What about the rest of the list? Was there anything else?"
"The first was to leave that tower and I got that months ago. The next two was family and friends which Tatara brought me here to meet you all."
"That's so sweet my adorable little sister." Tatara hugged both her and Anna with a huge smile on his face.
"H-hey! Tatara, let go!"
"Call me brother!"
"No!"
"Say it!"
"No!"
"Come on, baby sis!" He pouted, she quickly turned her head away.
"I'm not going to say it! Now let us go!" She hugged out trying to get out of his hold.
"Call me brother and I'll let you go." She gave him a look letting out a deep sigh.
"Let go.... brother..."
"Now say "I love you, big brother", Kara."
"Don't push it, Totsuka." She glared at him, her cheeks with a tint of pink. They both froze when two hands were placed on top of their heads.
"K-King?"
"Lion..."
"You two are loud." The hand on Tatara's head, Mikoto swiftly tightened his grip.
"Owowowow...! Why!? King, why!?" Karasu laughed but winced when she got a fist to the head.
"Keep it down." He spoke leaning back into the sofa once again. Tatara and Karasu looked at each other and smiled.
"King!"
"Lion!" Mikoto glared at then but sighed. It wasn't worth keeping them quite. Even though they weren't related they sure did act that way.
"Anna, do you want to color?"
"Yes."
"Come on, let's go upstaires and get those coloring books I got you." Karasu smiled as she watched Anna rush upstairs to her room, standing at the entryway of the stairway she waited for Anna to return when her phone went off.
"Who is it?" She asked. Izumo looked at the phone on the bar counter and saw a familiar name appear on the screen.
"Munakata."
"What does he want now?" She grumbled picking up the phone answering the call.
"What is it Munakata?" She turned around when she noticed eyes on her.
"Yeah, alright. I'll be there soon." She sighed looking up seeing Anna staring at her carrying the books and the colors.
"Anna, Tatara will be playing with you while I go out for a bit, okay?"
"Okay."
"Karasu? What did he want?"
"He just needs to talk to me. It won't take long. I'll be back soon." She said walking towards the door but looked behind her when she heard footsteps.
"Mikoto?"
"You're not going alone." He opened the door walking outside as he put on his jacket.
"H-hey! Mikoto, wait for me!" Karasu grabbed an umbrella before running after the amber eyed man in the rain. Tatara smiled as he watched the two walk down the road.
"Only a matter of time, right, Anna?" Anna smiled nodding her head.
