(Background; steve and yourself had been married for three years. Together for five in total. You both had been trying for a baby with no luck.)

Your hands shook horribly as you gripped on to the bathroom counter top.

Your eyes could barely focus on the stick sitting next to the sink.

The lines on the test took longer to appear than what the instructions stated.

You counted the seconds. Then the minutes, your grip tightened yet again.

Your heart swelled at the sight of the test results.

You knew this was going to be the best day of your life.

You wiped the few stray tears from your face and placed the test in your pj bottoms back pocket.

You rounded to corner to the kitchen where Steve was making pancakes for breakfast.

Your bare feet gave you the advantage of silence. You tried your hardest to be quiet and sneaked up on Steve. You roughly placed both your hands on either sides of his shoulders.

Steve jumped a few inched up in the air and spun around, coming face to face with you in mere seconds.

"Y/N, stop creeping up on me!" Steve chuckled lightly before he gently placed his lips on yours. You welcomed the sweet taste of his lips with a small smile.

"Mmm, good morning to you too, Mr Rogers." You smiled widely. Your forehead rested against Steve's, you held your eyes closed tightly, savouring the moment.

"Good morning Mrs Rogers." You could hear the smile in Steve's voice.

"That's Captain Rogers to you, solider." You teased him. Steve ran his fingers through your hair.

"Sure thing ma'am." Steve saluted you as he returned his attention to the pancakes.

You had to tell him now. If you didn't do it then, you never would of.

"Baby... I have to tell you something." You said softly, you placed your hand over his and gently pulled him around to face you.

"What's up?" Steve asked as he smiled.

You bit your lip, knowing what was going to happen.

Instead of speaking you reached into your back pocket and handed him the pregnancy test, your hands had started to again.

Steve looked puzzled as he eyed the stick.

"What...? Two lines..?" He asked, he looked up to you with lost eyes.

"Steve... We are pregnant." You barely whispered.

"No..." Steve gasped in a sharp breath. "Noooo... Oh my gosh Y/N. Baby... Your having a baby?" Steve whimpered, his head jolting from you to the test.

"We are having a baby." You smiled. Nothing you could of said would of described what you felt at that moment. Your heart swelled love and your eyes teared up with happiness.

Steve's face crumbled as he looked up to you again, tears fell from his eyes.

"We are gonna have a baby." He cried, he placed the test on the counter top and wrapped his arms around you tightly, but not too tight.

"A baby..." He whispered into your ear.

"I-I love you Y/N." Steve stammered as he gasped for air, he gently kissed below your ear three times.

"I love you too Steve." You whispered back.

Steve looked at your face, he wiped tears from your face. There was nothing in his eyes bit love. He leaned down slowly, he kissed your lips roughly.

You inhaled his sent but instead all you could smell was burning.

"Babe..? The pancakes." You laughed loudly after you pulled away from the kiss.

"Oh shit!" Steve exclaimed as he dashed over to the pancakes. The whole pan was lit on fire. Steve rushed around the kitchen before dumping the fire filled pan into the water filled sink. Extinguishing the fire immediately.

"Language Rogers!" You laughed loudly at the mess unfolding before you.

Definitely the best Sunday of your life.

I just wanted to right some fluff for a change. I've had a shitty week and its only Tuesday morning. My birthday is on the 6th of July... I'll be 18... Nothing to celebrate tho... Over half the people i want to be with wont be with me. So.. I will probably upload a shitty smut chapter. Just because I'll be eighteen and because i freaking feel like it. 😂
